Great item !! March 21, 2007 beemermama (USA) 45 out of 46 found this review helpful
I was looking for a dual alarm clock and got the bonus of the use of my ipod with this item! Wake to ipod,(or radio)also keeps the ipod charged at all times. It also has enough presets for any radio stations you might want. It puts out a pretty good quality sound too. A really great feature is the daylight savings time button... just a quick switch..and you can either add or subtract an hour. It was very easy to set up. The time is easy to read, very bright, but you can dim it. Comes with the battery back up and the remote even comes with a battery already in !! I received it NEXT day from the shipper. (requested standard shipping) Very satisfied overall !!!
It works with the iPhone! July 16, 2007 M. Chesner (Shelton, CT) 28 out of 33 found this review helpful
After trying my new Apple iPhone in several other iPod alarm clocks (iHome, etc.), I decided to give the Timex Ti700 a try. It was smaller than the other devices (read: portable), had a useable dimmer (I am light-sensitive when getting to sleep), and was less expensive than most. I am thrilled to report with the 30 GB Video iPod insert installed, it works perfectly with the iPhone! It will play music from the iPhone, wake to the iPhone, allow the devices remote to control the iPhone, and will charge the iPhone while it is plugged in. Now, I have a way to keep my iPhone both charged and right next to my bed. When first plugged in, the device will ask if you want to enter Airplane Mode. But it will accept "No" as an answer, and so far plays well in that mode. I heard a very little but of interference from the cell radio, but not enough to bother me. ===== Update 7/17/2007: Okay, some bumps the first night of use. For some reason, every 45 minutes or so, the device would activate and start playing from the iPhone. It may be related to e-mail check or something else, but it made it quite difficult to sleep. I eventually had to unplug the iPhone from it, and wake up to my old alarm clock. More info to come, as I trouble-shoot this.
solid ipod radio September 29, 2007 pedrochin (Texas) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
remote is cool. small footprint - takes up little space. makes a great office radio. sound quality is average. the ipod bass is a little stronger than what the small speaker can handle...but that's why this is a great office radio - I'm not cranking it up that high. If I wanted a ipod clock radio for the home/bedroom, I might choose the bigger footprint/two speaker fuller sounding ihome.
Timex and Ipod - Great Combo! August 28, 2007 SDG (Washington, DC USA) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
Have only had this a day and am already pleased with this alarm/clock radio - easy to read dial, helpful features (daylight saving feature is great) AND an indiglo dial for reading the clock easily at night...only minus I can find is that the buttons for the alarms seem less sturdy than the rest. Would definitely recommend!
Loved it! (before it quit working...) December 30, 2007 K. SMITH (Central PA) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
I bought this for my daughter because it had everything we wanted - in a small package. Not too many out there that play & charge the Ipod, have a radio, alarm, and remote! Up until two weeks ago I would have given this item 7 stars! But suddenly no sound - for the radio or the Ipod. So now what? Still under warrantee (barely!) so I could ship it back to manufacturer but now I'm wondering if the Timex Ti700 is as great as we thought. Will probably do some research to see what else is out there.
