Awesome coffee maker only one complaint. Can't turn the warming plate back on. You can add a little more water and turn back on. No seperate switch to turn warming plate back on. Other reviews had some complaints but have been using it daily since Dec. 07 and have not had a problem other than human error. Simple and easy to program.

I purchased this coffeemaker because I had the original grind and brew from Melitta. My only complaint was the pot has an auto shutoff of one hour. You cannot turn the pot back on unless you make a fresh pot and there is water in the machine. Too big of a drawback for me since our family gets up at different times in the morning.

As others have said, you MUST have a STRONG FM signal or you
will only be able do manual brewing. Makes good coffee but
cleaning the reusable filter is more of a pain than throwing
away a paper one.

I love this machine. It has worked wonderfully, great tasting coffee everytime from the freshly ground beans. I even enjoy the sleeping cat, and whoever thought we would go to the coffee maker to find the weather forecast? A nice extra touch. The only drawback is the difficulty in turning the hotplate part of the machine back on after it goes out after one hour. Overall, I would highly recommend this coffee maker.

Melitta Smart Mill is a great coffee maker. My husband enjoy the coffee and the weather reports. I always need to know the weather report and I don't watch the T.V. to get the forecast. This coffee pot serves you coffee and your daily dose of weather. Enjoy!!!
