Product Description PYREX glassware is incredibly durable and easy to clean. Unlike earthenware, porcelain or enameled dishes, PYREX glass absorbs, rather than reflects oven heat waves. This speeds the cooking process and helps save energy. It's a durable and practical form of cookware that's easy to clean and attractive to serve with. PYREX glassware products can go directly from refrigerator or freezer to a microwave, convection, or preheated conventional oven. A small amount of liquid should be added to the ovenware vessel prior to baking foods that release liquids while cooking.
Amazon.com Review Pyrex was the first to create a line of glass bakeware so cooks could actually see how their food was cooking. At the time, the idea was revolutionary; now--like all great innovations--we take it for granted. In fact, these days this large baking dish from Pyrex (a company that's been making quality glass products for the better part of a century) costs about as much as dessert and coffee for two at a swanky cafe. Not a bad deal, considering it transitions flawlessly from oven to microwave to freezer to dishwasher, and, if you're moderately careful, it will last you a lifetime. This dish's 4-quart size is perfect for jumbo cakes or a casserole for a crowd. --Meg Heffernan

Most used cookware I own. February 4, 2005 KittyK (Studio City, CA) 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
I've been using this same glass pan for 15 years. For all I know, I will still be using it 15 years from now. I cook frozen fries in it at 550 degrees.
My turkey pan! March 3, 2006 Henry Perkins (Santa Clara, CA USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
There are lots of obvious uses for this pan, such as jumbo portions of lasagna. But for me, this is also the pan I haul out at Thanksgiving for turkey duty. Rather than use a conventional covered roasting pan that'll spend 11 months of the year gathering dust out in the garage, I've found this -- with the turkey size Reynolds oven roasting bags -- to be the perfect solution for extra-large (around 22 lbs.) birds. The standard 13"x9" pans are good for turkeys up to about 16 lbs, and I use this method for cooking chickens throughout the year. (The smaller Pyrex baking pans nestle inside this one in my cupboard.) My thinking is that it's the same amount of effort to stuff and cook a larger bird as it is the smaller, and I'm glad to have leftover turkey tucked away in my freezer for the next few weeks. The plastic bag keeps the meat moist and helps it cook evenly, as the steam is contained around the bird. And this jumbo Pyrex pan is easy to clean: it fits in the side slot in my dishasher, where a standard covered roasting pan would be just too big and require hand washing. Highly recommended.
The perfect dish for the Woodzoo. November 5, 2006 Robin Wood (Wichita Falls, TX USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have a large family (six kids with assorted in-laws and grandkids) and when we all get together for a family dinner I had trouble getting dishes big enough to prepare and serve in large quantities. This 4 QT pyrex dish is wonderful. I think this is a must have for anyone. Even if your single you probably will have to take a potluck dish somewhere in your lifetime. This is the one to use. It is even large enough to make a great big batch of those essential brownies!
Great deal January 2, 2007 M. ODonnell (Fernley, Nevada) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Arrived fast, perfect condition... I'm a huge pyrex fan! I bought this when Amazon offered $25 off a purchase of 149 or more? Something like that. So I ordered this and a bunch of lodge logic items. They all got here faster than I thought possible...great condition. I'll continue to shop for glassware and cast iron from Amazon...shopping made so simple!

The baking dishes are fine, wonderful. I am satisfied with my purchase. I couldn't find them anywhere else, so I am happy.
