Product Description This rare and exclusive performance brings the critically acclaimed and #1 album LOST HIGHWAY to life. Track by track and in sequence; BON JOVI recount the tale that is the LOST HIGHWAY. Performed on a stage constructed especially for this unique and historic night Genre: MUSIC DVD/CONCERTS Rating: NR UPC: 733961101355 Manufacturer No: AAE-101350
Amazon.com The band members refer to it as their "Nashville album," but make no mistake about it: a fiddle here or a pedal steel guitar there won't change the fact that Lost Highway, performed in its entirety in this 2007 concert, is every inch a Bon Jovi record--not their best, perhaps, but one that is nevertheless extremely popular and embodies all of the veteran band's strengths. The setting here, a Chicago studio with a stage constructed specially for the occasion, is obviously more intimate than the humongous stadiums they fill on tour, but singer Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, and their mates (augmented here by four additional musicians) are still one of the ultimate arena bands, pumping out the kind of tunes that inspire the faithful to pump their fists during the guitar solos and sing joyfully along with the big, anthemic choruses that are a staple of the Bon Jovi repertoire. Lost Highway has plenty of those (cf. the title song, "Any Other Day," and "I Love this Town"), mixed in with ballads like "(You Want to) Make a Memory" and "Seat Next to You." These and other songs offer the kind of universal, if somewhat facile, sentiments (life's tough, we all feel alone sometimes, but when the chips are down I'll be there for you) summed up by Bon Jovi's comment about the songwriting process: "Our story becomes your story." Filmed in high definition and sporting excellent sound, the concert also features performances of "It's My Life," "Wanted Dead or Alive," and "Who Says You Can't Go Home." Brief interviews with Bon Jovi, Sambora, drummer Tico Torres, and keyboardist David Bryan are the principal bonus features. --Sam Graham Beyond Lost Highway: The Concert Lost Highway on CD | More Bon Jovi DVDs | More Music Video & Concerts DVDs | Stills from Lost Highway: The Concert (click for larger image)

...Crank Up the Volume. No longer living on his hair, Bon Jovi delivers a great live concert of the entire Lost Highway CD, along with three other encore songs from the past. The 5.1 sound and the video transfer are excellent. The band is tight and Richie Sambora jams. I like the DVD version of Strangers Anymore better than the CD. NOTE: The Wal-Mart DVD has an A&E Bon Jovi Biography 45 minutes +/-, not available elsewhere. The DVD is highly recommended and deserves multiple viewings. Enjoy, j.

Not that good. Prime reason, whoever decided to film this small venue decided to change angle, switch scenes and rotate the camera every five seconds. You need motion sickness pills to watch it. I am one of the worse amateur film makers for my personal vacation clips and nothing I produced was as bad as this. The atmosphere of the venue looks as if it were filmed in a local cafe in the White Mountains of New Hampshire by a group of amateur film buffs using old analog camcorders with low end kenwood sound equipment. The energy level of the crowd is what you see at a local Bingo game. Bon Jovi himself doesn't appear to be really interested in "putting on a show". So if you like quiet, small amateur performances at the local watering hole and don't mind falling asleep before the show ends, this is for you. If you expect a major concert act with all the bells and whistles pulled out for stage effects, the only effect is the camera changing angle and zooming every five to ten seconds. To make matters worse, the set list leaves out many of his best hits. There are other Live Concerts that are by far better than this one by Bon Jovi. Try "Live From London" or "This Left Feels Right".
Bon Jovi Gives a GREAT Live Performance November 12, 2007 A. Agnello (Ridgewood, New Jersey United States) 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
I just saw them on the last night of the Lost Highway tour in New Jersey this weekend. These guys always rock the place. Once they start, they got you and you are sucked in. Lost Highway is not my favorite album of theirs but hearing it live is amazing! The live performance is so great and this DVD looks to be so great. You will not be disappointed!
As usual Bon Jovi never lets me down, This Concert DVD is GREAT, Really makes me love the CD even more. November 21, 2007 Nancy L. Glodowski (Union Grove, WI USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have been a Bon Jovi fan "forever". I just can't resist that sexy, cute innocent smile Jon has, it just makes me melt. I have seen them perform live many times. I even won a radio contest years ago for an "exclusive accustic" Up close and Personal Concert with Jon. It was so AWESOME, I will never forget it as long as I live. They gave away a very limited number of tickets, that's what made it so personal. I was sitting about 20 feet away from Jon. I was in such a state of AWE that I couldn't even move. I just sat their watching and listening to him sing, or just talk. It was like he was sitting in my living room visiting, and sharing stories you would never hear anywhere else. This band has been around and popular for over 25 years for a reason. They are super talented, dedicated, down to earth and after all these years they are still ROCKING EVERYONE around THE WORLD! This CD was number ONE all around the WORLD for a reason, if you don't have it, BUY it! Listen to the lyrics, they really mean a whole lot more if you've been keeping up with the latest on the band. A couple of the band members have or I should say had been going through some difficult times. This CD is like a therapy and sort of healing for them. If you understand this, then you know why this CD/DVD is one of their GREATEST yet.
My 4 year old sings, "Lost my way... HEY HEY" November 27, 2007 Mom2boys (North Jersey) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Just wanted to note for diehard fans that I got this dvd at Target today and the Target version has "exclusive content: includes 6 live bonus tracks from Stripped: Raw & Real". Got this for my husband's birthday; he's been a fan forever. I learned to appreciate them through him. We saw one of the concerts at the Prudential center and had a great time, really enjoyed the show and the fans. Now our boys are growing up and singing along too.
