Royal Crest gold-plated flatware bestows the look of luxury at an economical price. Except for the polished steel knife blade, each flatware piece is completed gold-plated, including the spoon bowls and fork tines. Imagine sliding a spoonful of soup into your mouth off a golden spoon. Made of steel underneath, the gold-plated pattern shows an ornately detailed design with oval tabs left smooth for monogramming. The sizing is traditional, rather than Continental, and the knife handle lies flat. Serving a dozen at dinner, this 65-piece set comes boxed in a wooden chest, perfect for storage or portability. First shipment was missing one piece. With a few calls to Amazon customer service and repackaging and mailing product for return, a second complete shipment was received within a week. The flatware has good weight and is elegant enough to serve alongside your best china. Comes with a wooden storage chest. Did a lot of research and this 65-piece set is a great buy.

The flatware is extremely nice - you would never think twice about using it for the special family dinner or get together. The flatware is good weight -- not too heavy, not too light. It holds up well to use -- I would not recommend washing with any type of abrasive scrapper or the dishwasher. But if you wash it with a cloth, then dry .. then air dry over night - you will have many years of great use.
The one drawback to this item was the storage box. The knife storage in the lid pulled out - due to the weight of the knives. Stil - easily fixable.
I would still rank this an exceptional deal for the price.
