| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description With a primitive simplicity, the Mikko 5-piece place setting is a work of inspired sophistication. Its full, smooth shape makes it a natural favorite for everyday use. Designed by Lou Henry.
Amazon.com Review Mikko is one of the most dramatic modern flatware patterns made by Nambe. Prolific designer Lou Henry turns flatware tradition upside down, by widening the handle of each piece at the neck, and narrowing the tip to a rounded point. The wide necks at first feel unusual to hold, but soon make perfect sense for ease of control. Mikko spoon bowls flow beautifully from the broad neck, as do the fork heads with their tines angling inward. A striking pattern that jazzes up everyday or special event dining, Mikko is forged from premium, dishwasher-safe 18/10 stainless steel and polished to a mirror shine. This single place setting consists of a dinner knife, dinner fork, salad fork, soup spoon, and teaspoon. Nambe was founded in 1951 in a village of the same name in scenic northern New Mexico. From the beginning, the company has focused on hand-producing high-quality, functional items such as metal bowls and trays with great attention to timeless, modern design. Stainless steel, porcelain, and crystal pieces now join Nambe's signature metal-alloy lines, all of which are flawlessly crafted and exceptional as gifts. Nambe has won numerous design awards, has been shown in or recognized by nearly two dozen museums worldwide, and is part of the permanent collections of many prestigious institutions. --Ann Bieri What's in the Box 1 place setting. The place setting consists of: dinner knife; dinner fork; salad fork; soup spoon; teaspoon. 5 pieces total.
