Product Description In support of a cure for breast cancer, pink is a wonderful color for the celebrity appliance in your kitchen! When you purchase this great appliance, KitchenAid will donate fifty dollars to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Cook for the Cure! More is more sometimes, at least in the world of small appliances. and such is the case with the KitchenAid Artisan mixer. It has a tilting head, like the KSM90, but it has a larger 5 qt. capacity bowl. It also gives you more oomph, as in 325 watts of cookie dough busting power. What's not to love? If you've been considering a stand mixer, this may be the perfect "starter model" for you.

It's Tough Getting Used To December 25, 2005 BrewsterK 12 out of 40 found this review helpful
We are finding the 5 qt. 325 Artisan somewhat difficult to get used to, and there are some odd design features. First (and in spite of another reviewer who said you should not buy this if you are left-handed), we think this machine is built for left-handed use because the speed control is on the wrong side. If you face the machine, you have to use your left hand to move the speed lever. Moreover, unless you are going to work the machine from behind, it has to "face" to you right if you are going to be able to see the speed without craning your neck around. Angling the machine to your right accentuates the problem that you must use your left hand to adjust the speed. Second, and more fundamentally, the speed control is a fairly dinky thing that you have to be pretty careful that it advances to the speed you want. Like so many things these days, the controls themselves have a learning curve. For instance, it is difficult to find an oven that has REAL KNOBS, and, after two years, we are still trying to figure out how to bake something in our GE oven without accidently hitting something that turns the oven off. Third, we've learned already that the height of the various beaters (paddles and whisk) vary slightly. As such, and depending upon the amount and type of stuff your are trying to beat, you have to adjust the height by turning a small and inconveniently located screw with a screw driver. Maybe we will eventually find that one height does it, but for the present a screw driver is now an essential accessory when baking. Let's face it. No matter whether you like this product, it is time to move on from the old 2-beater Mixmaster. In the end, the thing was so cheaply made that....
Absolutely the best! January 20, 2005 Jodi Oli (Midwest) 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
I fought for years with a dinky handheld model that smelled like it was going to catch on fire every time I used it. Well, after getting my Kitchenaid, I feel like I've gone to mixer heaven. Nothing slows it down, not even bread dough. And the color -- Komen Pink -- is so delightful that I have repainted my kitchen to go with my mixer (yeah, I know...but I've done sillier things and my kitchen is so charming now that I don't even mind cooking).
I finally went for it... April 29, 2006 Eurotraveler (Texas) 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
After much longing and debate, I decided to purchase this beautiful Kitchenaid mixer, using a $100 giftcard I had recieved from Bloomingdales for Christmas, and jumping in with the rest. I absolutely love it. It makes baking SO easy and fun! I have friends whose mom's have had their kitchenaid mixers for over 20 years, so I'm thinking it's worth the investment. I am looking forward to trying out the attachments, specifically the pasta maker, but one thing at a time! I have also bought other Kitchenaid products, and they too have proved to be worth the investments. You won't be sorry.
Heads up on the Pink Kitchenaid Mixer~ November 13, 2003 6 out of 13 found this review helpful
The Susan B Koman PINK Kitchenaid mixer is an awesome, power mixer and I hope to have it for many years. I was slightly disappointed that it was not the gorgeous rosey color pictured here or on the cookforthecure website. Just a heads up- it is actually a light icey pink color. I had been holding out for Kitchenaid to make a pink mixer for years, so I'm still happy.....but would have preferred the color pictured.
Buy one for your significant other!!! May 30, 2005 K. Ducharme (Colorado) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought one as an X-mas gift for an ex-girlfriend that I have a rocky friendship with and now she cooks up good stuff for me all the time! It makes hanging out with her a lot more enjoyable, and she freaked out about the color and it gave her an excuse to deocrate her whole kitchen pink and white. If you gave one of these to your current ladyfriend I bet that you would reap the benefits multiple times a day for a very long time. It was a very very high quality product and I will look to the KitchenAid brand first whenever I have to buy kitchenwares/appliances in the future. Great color selections, great quality, very good power. Would highly recommend.
