Poor quality - Not worth the money June 23, 2006 Mike White 27 out of 33 found this review helpful
I was excited to start making my own yogurt again, as I use to do about 20 years ago. When I got this machine I thought it would do the job, I was wrong!! First of all the machine stoped running after about 4 hours, and the heat from the bottom unit would not spread out to all the jars. I followed all the directions and my yogurt came out watery. Too bad there were no ratings on this item when I bought it. I will have to look for a new yogurt maker & throw this one out the door.
Works Great! July 16, 2006 Jill E May (Park Rapids, MN United States) 22 out of 24 found this review helpful
Easy to use and made great home-made yogurt. Would highly recommend. Like that the cups for the yogurt are heavy glass.

This is my first yogurt maker, but as a long time lover of store bought yogurt and somewhat dubious as to the advantage of making my own, it more than exceeded my expectations. I used organic plain yogurt for starter and organic milk. The resulting yogurt was creamy without the sharp tang of store bought plain yogurts. It was simple to use and, most certainly, did not cut off. In fact, I'm online trying to see if I can buy additional glass jars for it!
Works as advertised February 11, 2007 Linda (Cuero, TX) 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
Following the simple recipe and procedure outlined in the booklet that came with the yogurt maker resulted in delicious yogurt. I used Dannon plain fat free yogurt as a starter along with fat free milk and a half cup of powdered milk as suggested. I allowed it to process for eight hours and the finished product was very near in taste to the Dannon. The jars are sturdy glass with heavy plastic snap on lids. Nice quality and easy to clean.
Salton Does it Again! January 9, 2007 Saryl S. Hirsch 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
The yogurt is kept at a constant temperature until it is creamy and delicious . The seven individual cups makes it easy to keep each family member happy with just the right amount per serving. I wish the unit came with two extra cups so that I could make a new batch of yogurt before the previous batch was used up.
