Glad they fixed the paint problem.... December 31, 2007 C. Kohnle (Southern California) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
This is the second Cuisinart toaster oven that I've had. The first one was a white one, and although it performed beautifully, I replaced it because the paint over the door chipped and came off, making it unsightly. I bought another brand in the interim, and it was a total non-perfomer - thankfully dying after only 1 year. When I saw that the new Cuisinart model addressed the paint chipping problem I was very happy and bought a new one. It is working beautifully, just like the first one. AND, it is still looking good!
New look and no more cracks! September 6, 2007 Daniel Sauer 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
This newer version has stainless steel around the touch-pad, this must be the cure for the cracking issue. The older versions have plastic around the control pad and the plastic was always cracking. All that money for something that kept cracking! This unit is bigger, taking up considerably more counter space and it looks more like a mini pizza oven inside. Actaully, the control panel now has a "pizza" button. The black finish on the sides and top is fine but it looks like it'll scratch fairly easily. The door handle is new and not as cheap looking but the glass door feels lighter and cheap, it moves around a little. By putting the stainless steel around the control pad to "cure" the cracking issue, quality was given up in other areas!
Nice Toaster oven December 29, 2007 Julie kennedy (Aurora,Il USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I read all the reviews on similiar Cuisinart models comparable to the TOB-155 and choose this one because of the stylish two-toned look of the black on stainless. The TOB-155 heats to temperature quickly and does a great job cooking. Easy to use, I had the unit out of the box and ready to cook in minutes. I love the digital buttons, settings are quick and clean-up is simple. Only negative I found is you can burn yourself easily if your not careful, (I did it twice) the outside get's very hot and I have learned to use a oven mitt when opening the oven door.
Fire Hazard! Beware! April 1, 2008 jSouth (Midwest, USA) 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
When the timer goes off, the oven does NOT shut off! If you are forgetful, it could be four hours before this unit shuts itself off. Plenty of time for it to burn your food, your kitchen or your home. Buyer beware. Major consumer testing agency fails to note this safety flaw.
Cuisinart Toaster Oven is a 10 Star February 27, 2008 Bunker (Seneca, SC USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
We have had other toasters but we bought another brand first and after the toast and the tray ended up on my foot, we returned it and bought the Cuisinart Toaster Oven and we love it. It is better than anything we ever had. And that goes for over 50 years. We did not need the Convection Oven so we bought just the Toaster Oven model. thank you.
