This compact refrigerator is the perfect size for use in a dorm room or as a second fridge in a basement TV room. It stands 25-1/4 inches tall and is 18-5/8 inches wide and 19-5/8 inches deep, offering just over 2-1/2 cubic feet of cold storage space. Two slide-out shelves plus a bottom shelf in the main compartment and two door shelves offer ample room for drinks and snacks. A can dispenser in the door offers additional space for soda or beer, and a freezer compartment across the top of the refrigerator holds ice cubes in the included tray. The full-range thermostat operates via a dial control, making it easy to adjust the temperature to your preference. This refrigerator has a reversible, rounded door and a smooth back. Bought this to replace a very old Sanyo to get more efficiency and cheaper operation. This is a wonderful small refrigerator with plenty of room inside plus on the back of the door.
I've found that I can run it on the lowest setting and everything is plenty cool enough. In addition, it is so quiet compared to my old one. My wife and I are very happy with this Sanyo.
The older Sanyo ran well for over 25 years with never a problem.

I purchased this to have a beverage frig in the living room. The 7 can dipenser in the door is useful. After removing a shelf you can place 12 12oz bottles on the bottom and 6 12oz cans behind them on a ledge (though difficult to reach). Another 10 or so cans on the top shelf (not enough room for bottles). Room for a 2 liter bottle in the door and you can squeez in perhaps 3 or 4 more cans in the door. There is a small freezer compartment in which ice can be kept, not useful for me (hence 4 stars).

I read reviews about other compact refrigerators arriving damaged because of poor packaging through amazon, and I thought I wouldn't mind a couple of dents in it as long as it functioned correctly. I got this for my dorm room and it would have been the perfect compact fridge... if it worked. When the package arrived, it was ripped up in several places and there were stains along one side. I opened it and found 4 slim pieces of styrofoam supporting it. It turns out the stains were from leakage through the cooler because it got all over my floor. Now I have a huge mess to clean too. I'm sure I would have loved it if it worked because it could fit a lot, and would have been perfect for several quarts of milk and a waterfilter along with a few bottles and cans.

The fridge seems to cool really well, and is built solid. I put in milk and had the cooling setting near max and it froze my milk. So I've now turned down the cool setting. This proves it can really cool well. Much better than those low end 'hot-cool' mini fridges.
The only problem is the packaging. It's not Amazon's fault - it's Sanyo's fault. The packing is laughable. There's a couple of corner styrofoam pieces of less than 1/2 inch thick trying to protect this fridge. It isn't going to work!
Mine came damaged like everyone else's, but it is still usable.

We chose the 2.5 cubic foot size when we decided to renovate our apartment and live in the rear bedroom and we were right on the money. It's amazing how much you can actually fit in this compact fridge! Excellent cooling with an ice maker! Many pluses. Only minus is that freezer section extends beyond the compartment so anything around it freezes as well. Overall, excellent value!
