We think this is a spectacular shape in a unforgetable, very red glaze! It holds approximately 12-15 ounces of your favorite beverage, standing about 5" high and 4 1/2" wide (including the handle). This mug has a large comfortable handle and smooth lines. This mug is Microwave/Dishwasher/Oven/Food Safe and uses lead-free glazes. Each mug is wheel thrown with handbuilt handle and fired to Cone 9 in a reduction enviroment. Each piece has our artists signature. As with all handcrafted pottery, size and color vary from piece to piece, making each piece a one-of-a-kind! Great mugs August 28, 2008

These mugs are just lovely. The color is a rich dark red (slightly darker than pictured) with faint white accents that give the appearance that the mug has been "weathered." The feel of the mug is substantial without being heavy and while I have only hand-washed them so far, I can attest that they microwave well. I originally ordered two (they were well matched in regards to size and color) and am so pleased I am ordering two more.
