Awesome mug May 11, 2007 C. E. Jones (Pittsburgh, PA) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I got this mug because I wanted to carry my coffee in my briefcase without it leaking while at the same time I wanted to be able to take a quick sip. I've had this mug for several years now, and it has worked perfectly. It keeps the coffee hot for a long time, it has never leaked, and it is simple to pop open the lid and take a quick sip. A regular thermos is leak-proof and keeps the coffee hot for a long time, but to take a drink you have to unscrew two lids and pour out some coffee. I'd hate to try pouring on the bus or train during my morning commute! When considering this mug, I went around to various stores to see what was available, and this was the only one that so nicely combined the properties of a thermos with those of an easy-to-drink mug. Starbucks, for example, offered a mug that was probably almost leakproof, but I did not want to perform this experiment in my briefcase next to my lap top!

Awesome bottle!!! I bought one 12 yrs ago in Hong Kong and haven't found another one like this til now. I've been using my old one with no leaks or spills, so when I found it on Amazon I bought two more.
Tough, and Doesn't Leak July 14, 2007 Kent Borg (Boston) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am a big fans of these, I carry it everywhere. I drop it periodically, and I was worried I might not be able to buy a replacement the day I finally destroy it. So happy it is still available. I might buy another just to have a spare. Like any thermos, it keeps drinks hot. No surprise. What is really great are two features: 1. If you close it, and flip the wire latch, it will not leak. Throw it in your bag with your laptop, passport, phone, etc., and don't worry. 2. It is easy to open and close one handed. Those are great features. One catch (common to any bare stainless steel product) if you are drinking coffee while waiting for the bus on a cold winter morning, someplace up north, the stainless steel is cold to hold in a bare hand. My solution is a tube of polartec that was sold as a wrist warmer (the thumb hole isn't used in this application). Highly recommended. -kb, the Kent who has used his for years.
Keeps my husband's coffee TOO hot!! March 26, 2008 Laura L. (Detroit, MI USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this for my husband who needs to be able to toss it in his backback when he's finished his coffee. It doesn't leak, ever, and it keeps his coffee so hot that he has to take the lid off to let it cool down to drinkable when he's ready for it! Fantastic, well made product that is worth the price.
Not commuter-friendly design June 18, 2008 J. Long (Washington, DC) 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
Forgive me for being blunt, but this mug is in no way friendly to drinking your joe on a commute to work. In fact, I can't see it being useful as a "backpack" bottle, unless you're carrying a shot of something really fancy, because it just doesn't hold much of anything. But I digress. The lid on this thing is ridiculous. It is a hinged pop-top, like what you'd find on a breadmaker, and it's nearly 2 inches thick. I'm a small girl, and I can hardly fit my face into the tiny, deeply recessed drinking trough; my nose bumps against the dang top contraption. If you're sitting on a bus, you have to open and close this thing every time you want a sip, which means flipping the little metal lock off, pushing the button, and spronging the top open. When the top is open, the whole cap of the thing is 5.5 inches across. If you were driving in your car and wanted to sip your coffee, you'd have to pull over, because you cannot see around the breadmaker top. Funny too, it boasts the canister is shaped to fit the average vehicle's cup-holder, but they neglected to mention that it likely would not (or would probably tip itself over) with the top open. Talk about top-heavy. I would not have bought this mug had there been photos of it with the top open. I'll post some of my own. -disgruntled.
