The paper was as it was sold as. In other words, it was correctly represented.

4 out of 5 stars Insightful news from inside the beltway   September 19, 2007

This magazine is terrific for someone trying to keep up with what's going on in Washington. After every issue I feel like I have really gained some unique insights.

Compliants: I have the distinct feeling that the weekly edition is the redheaded stepchild of the daily edition. The weekly edition seems complacent and unimaginative -- I don't get the feeling that the magazine is getting ready to just take off. The coverage of international news is very spotty, so why not focus on foreign policy instead of random international stories? I am still fuming that the weekly edition didn't include the three part series about Dick Cheney, "The Angler." This weekly should include the best of the Washington Post and excluding this acclaimed series is unforgivable. More book reviews, and opinion/columnists would be nice. Without an expansion of these features, the people who point out that the content is free online certainly have a point. Finally what about some more advertisers? I really like this magazine, but the price is high enough that I really have to think about renewing every time.

Even though I always have to think about renewing, I don't hestiate in giving it four stars.

This is the best newspaper you can get. The one weekly issue is a distillation of the most important and most interesting national stories from the previous week, in a format free of advertising and filler. Highly recommended.

For those of us without easy access to the Post -- one of the outstanding newspapers in the U. S. -- the Weekly is an excellent way to get articles and columns on the important matters of the day.

5 out of 5 stars Very Convenient   August 6, 2004

The Washington Post is an excellent newspaper and this condensed weekly edition essentially allows one to read the highlights and the best or most important of the week's news. This is especially handy for people who do not live in the DC area who want access to one of the nation's most well respected papers without having to wade through the daily edition. I frequently travel so I often pick up a copy if I'm out of town for a week to catch up on the news.
