well, if you're a follower of the genre this is the magazine for you. each issue has at least 1 interesting, well researched article on a band you've heard of. the album reviews tend to be a bit bland - hard to get candid criticism here. but the ads and listings for events are top notch, and the letters and questions sections are full of interesting historical tidbits.

I have been a subscriber of BU for 12 years, and I collect all issues. This magazine is for the bluegrass lover/musician. News,bluegrass charts, current events, concerts, and bluegrass festivals all over the United States are featured in this monthly publication.
With this magazine, you need no other bluegrass publication. It contains all the nuts and bolts of the best music on this side of Heaven.
