1 out of 5 stars The second coming of "Chariot of the Gods"   October 3, 2006

In contrast to another reviewer's comment, I believe this magazine should be entitled, "Archaeology with an Axe To Grind." Helooo? To quote, "great white race exterminated by Native Americans"? As an archeologist who has worked on Prehistoric and Historic sites and has viewed the sort of material evidence casually tossed aside in favor of wild theories and ultimately racist assumptions by the writers (perpetrators) of this periodical,I am sorry to have ever supported this rag through the purchase of a single issue. My suggestion to any interested in archaeology, the pre-history of the Americas, Native American and other ethnic groups and the settlement of the Americas is to read something from "American Antiquity", published by the Society for American Archeology. There at least you will find a theoretical view that has been updated since the nineteenth century. This magazine is enough to make you wish we really could blame the problems of civilization on aliens from outer space.

5 out of 5 stars A fascinating look into the wonders of Ancient America!   February 1, 2004

I've learned so much about the history of our country from this magazine. If you have an interest in archeology and want to learn about the truths of the Americas past, get this magazine. It's worth every penny. Learn about the many cover ups of the truth. Learn about the race of people who were exterminated by the Indians hundreds of years before Columbus set foot on this continent. Learn about extinct cultures of the past. Every month I read each issue from front to back.

4 out of 5 stars Genuine Archaeology of the Americas   March 22, 2003

This magazine should be titled "Archaeology With an Open Mind ". Traditional archaeology looks only at evidence that supports preconcieved notions and ignores, or even destroys evidence to the contrary. I was recntly at the famous Putman Museum ( the first museum west of the Mississippi ) where obviuosly genuine artifacts were labled as fakes because they displayed a multiculturism that flew in the face of established beliefs. They even put out pamphlets that denounced the scientist that proved their authenticity. None of that in this magazine. The conclusions in the articles are often far out, occasionaly even absurd, but always without preconceptions. You finish reading with a feeling that your mind is expanding, rather than that you have been lectured to on what you should believe.
