Best Paper in the world! July 1, 2007 Bookreader79424 (Earth) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Move over "New York Times," here comes the best paper to hit the newsstands--"The Dallas-Morning News," It is well-organized, and worth the price and I've been reading it for 10 years, at least! If you want today's news and examine the best homes in the US, that you can buy, then buy the "Dallas-Morning News" because you'll be glad you did--I was!
Dallas Mutated News is more like it December 13, 2004 Robin Orlowski (United States) 5 out of 11 found this review helpful
The Dallas Morning News is obviously biased in favor of the Republican Party. Despite running an insert which documented that Bush has killed numerous Texans with fabricated evidence, they had endorsed him as the best candidate for the 2004 elections. Umm, hello if the guy's hometown paper in Crawford didn't think he had the smarts for four more years, what were these editors basing their statement upon. And then, this paper LOOVES running stories on the less fortunate, sandwiched in between clips about Dallas's elite. If I did not know any better, I would assume they are trying to revive the infamous 80's soap opera for a newspaper serial and pass that off as investigative news. Finally, in a multi-part story on people with disabilities, the reporters insisted on using the now-outdated term 'the disabled' throughout the news copy. What kind of backwards stylebook are they following in this news room. However mildly entertaining on a Sunday morning when most things within an immediate radius around me are closed, their paper is annoying the rest of the week. Their Sunday TV Guide is large enough to read but has nothing to hold the pages together, and comes undone by the end of the week unless you are very dedicated to keeping that publication together.
