| Customer Reviews:
The Carbuster movement will not be televised. July 20, 2008 Preston C. Enright (Denver, CO United States) While only published 4 times a year, "Carbusters" gives its readers plenty to think about throughout the year. It changes our perspective on something that we have taken for granted, the automobile industrial complex. "Carbusters" has many articles on how this destructive, costly and unsustainable system of auto-dependence is spreading to advance the corporate crusade of revenue growth; and it also contains many stories on a wide-range of alternatives, some that are in place and some that could be applied. It's unlikely that stories on alternatives to the car culture will often appear in our nation's papers or news broadcasts, since our "news" is sponsored by countless dollars in advertising revenue from the car complex. The financial independence of "Carbusters" (supported by subscribers) and the intelligence of its contributors makes for an always revelatory read.
