I liked Quick and Easy Quilting because I don't have much time and need "quick and easy" quilt ideas. Quilter's World arrived as the replacement to this magazine and it is much larger in size and has a more "upscale" feel to it (ala' Threads' magazine). Whereas the old magazine had a "working class" feel to it, this new magazine aspires to "middle class" or beyond. However, there still are quick and easy quilt ideas in the magazine, you just have to look a little farther for them. There are very good templates easy to rip out or photocopy. So the magazine is worth it for that. However, I must add that .. price is not the best. My card that came with the magazine offers ..for 1 year (6 issues)--offer expires 2-28-03.

After subscribing to Quilters World since 2001, I suspended my subscription for a year while we traveled in Europe. When I tried to resume my subscription they told me my subscription would be resumed through 2007 even though my subscription (verified on my magazine's label) was until 2011.
These people are happy to rip you off.
Follow-up: They did eventually fix the problem but it took 2 months, 4 phone calls, and the label from an old issue mailed to them. I would upgrade this to 3 stars or delete the review but Amazon doesn't seem to have that facility.

I have subscribed to many quilting magazines and have found this one to be among the best. The articles include many interesting topics from historical quilts to trendy techniques, and often lessons from the "pros".
They feature a variety of quilts in every issue to satisfy a wide range of tastes and abilities. The instructions are very clear and well presented and always include the necessary patterns and templates. Customer service has always been very helpful.
