My subscription expired. January 17, 2008 JMHO 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
If you decide some magazine is lame, don't you just ignore the renewal notice and they'll stop sending it when your subscription runs out? Not so these guys. No, I get a letter from a "collection agency." A collection agency? You're kidding me. Just cancel the renewal and cut the strong arming. But no, this magazine's loser sales department seems to intend to intimidate young readers into resubscribing through these "threatening" renewal notices. Uncool. That deserves a flunking grade. Oh, and did I mention the 'zine is lame?
haven't received it yet November 4, 2007 Robert Hennessy (Avon, IN USA) 1 out of 9 found this review helpful
I am sure Revolver is a wonderful publication, but I couldn't personally tell you. I have not received a single copy from my subscription, but I'll be sure to let ya'll know how it is.
This magazine was the great gift I expected it to be for my husband! December 23, 2007 Amanda L. Mcknight (cullowhee, nc) 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
Husband loves it, thats all I need. First issue arrived faster than I expected. Thanks amazon!
The 'Maxim' of Metal Magazines December 18, 2007 acrid.one (your mother's house) Okay, so my title would probably scare off the Heavy Metal purists...but if you opted to actually pick up a copy, you'd realize it does the scene some justice. Rarely biased towards the modern fad or current hot band(for the most part...although, if they give Avenged Sevenfold another cover story...I'm going to choke someone).Revolver covers all aspects of rock music including it's sub-genres(Heavy/Black/Thrash/Death Metal as well as Punk,Pop Rock(i said unbiased, remember?) and everything in between. Advice colums and yes, even a 'who's wearing what and what their getting inked' articles fill the pages between Band news and album reviews-Every copy comes with a free pull-out poster usually with the Cover artist(s) on it. Want to hear about the return of Bad Brains? Gorgoroth's chuch-burning high jinks? or a review of a recent Black Dahlia Murder concert? Well look no farther, cause Revolver's got it. Metal Horns Up.
