model airplane news is NOT the best magazine out there they dont even include model airplane plans in their magazines that are worth BUILDING! they used to do that now they rearely include plans in their magazines and they cater to arf and kit airplane reviews, just great just what i need another catalog of ARF AIRPLANES EXCEPT IAM PAYING FOR IT! if i wanted a catalog i could get one from tower hobbies or ultimate hobbies FOR FREE! model airplane news is not the magazine it used to be, it is soo much more watered down than it used to be and thats a shame because i have back issues from the 60s,70s, 80s and early 90s and those were good magazines for the serious modeler. if anything "MAN" should go back to its roots and take a good hard look at its past and REVAMP the old rag. if you want more how to articles (including electrics which MAN rarely covers) and you enjoy the ocasional scratch build stick to RC M & E, that is if you are a "real modeler" and not just a purchaser of ARF AND RTF planes. however if you really like ARF AND RTF planes go buy model airplane mag do whatever you want to do dont let my review stop you. oh and one more thing 7.00$ is worth the price for a magazine that includes free plans in most if not all their issues...

Over $7 an issue is absolutely ridiculous. Go with Model Airplane News, it's a third of the price and is a better magazine overall.
