Newsy items, generally relating to mid-America and it's interests fill most of the newspaper formated issue.
You can tell this has a faithful readership. Subscribers send in anecdotes on the theme for each issue (picnics, barns, school days, mothers, etc.). There's a little nature info, a little finance Q & A, a travel feature, a crossword puzzle, and some jokes. Colorful photos brighten the pages.
It's all mild enough not to offend your great aunt and probably appeals to the same audience as Reader's Digest. Solidly down home and non-controversial.
