Album Description Native-American Flute and Incan Pan Pipe melodies soar over Tribal Drums from around the world, Guitars, Keyboards and Nature Sounds (with wolf, eagle, coyote and humpback whale). Following up their best seller, Sacred Earth Drums, the Gordons take you deeper into their healing Shamanic journey to the heart of rhythm. Feel the compelling beat of Mother Earth - move your body and join the dance for the reverence of life!

Awesome! August 27, 1999 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
A true masterpiece of well thoughtout music to rest the soul or make it dance. The drums are well positioned in the music score to allow other instruments to flow without competition.Do not miss this!
Very good new age-native fusion June 10, 2005 Prairie Fox (Lincoln, NE United States) 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
Discount the self-important blather from "professional" drummers and First Nation/Capitolized Ethnic Group people you see here and buy this CD if you enjoy better quality new age music in a native vein. This CD and its highly successful predecessor was NEVER meant to be a hard-core exploration of genuine Native American drumming, flute or chanting, though it masterfully incorporates such music alongside other simple nativist percussion. Yes, persons looking outside the world music (or new age) genres for actual Native chanting and drumming may be disappointed, but it never hurts to open your ears to new things. But if that's too hard and you crave the "real thing," may I suggest Tokeya Inajin, Dik Darnell or Carlos Nakai.
Sacred Spirit Drums May 24, 2000 George T. (St. Louis, MO) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
Though only 1/8th Cherokee, this album stirs something deep within me. It's beat and melodies are soothing yet haunting. I don't tire of it as is often the case with other CD's that get played over and over. You continually hear things that were not there, or were un-noticed before. A work of art and a peak into the Sacred Realm. Hats and headresses off to the Gordons.
Pulses With Life August 9, 2000 Stephanie West (Irvine, CA USA) 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
I listen to this CD when I'm getting ready for work in the morning. The pulsing drums, nature's sounds, soaring flute transport one to a more elemental world. As mentioned in other reviews, one never expects drumming to be so relaxing but you will find your body, breath and heart moving to the beat of this wonderful music.
Powerful, soothing . . . David & Steve Gordon at their Best! September 8, 1999 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
