5 out of 5 stars Nice one   November 1, 2004

This album is undoubtedly one of the best albums in my CD collection at the moment. I never really heard of them before accidentally picking up this album for cheap in a junk store and its been in my stereo ever sinse. They have a unique sound combining the heavy rock atmospheric AOR style of Giant, with the almost bluesy feel of poison. The guys voice is amazing and the guitar work is fairly innovative adding particular diversity to each song. This is a well produced 80's hard rock album filled with some very good ballards. Worth buying

5 out of 5 stars A Complete HIDDEN GEM!!!!   January 19, 2007

I found this album in an old backstreet record shop in Aberdeen, Scotland UK whilst attending University there around 1995, quite literally by accident. I had never heard of this band before and was casually looking for any new bands that caught my eye in the "Rock Section". I bought it quite cheaply, around 9.00, and duly took it back to my student digs for a test run on the CD player. I certainly wasnt expecting it to anything other than an average American rock album. As soon as I had heard the first track "No More Broken Dreams" I was hooked! And I have been hooked ever since - and thats over 11 years later.

"Beggars and Thieves" is one of those very rare albums you listen to where every single track is absolutely amazing. Theres not one bad track there, IMHO. It has never strayed far from my CD player even after all these years. This album is A HIDDEN GEM, and I recommend anyone to search for it and buy it. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Fans of the likes of Dokken, Lynch Mob, Firehouse, Giant etc will really appreciate this one. Its going really cheap at the moment.... Its one of my favourite Rock albums in my collection of at least 700+ CDs. Grab it while you can.

These guys need more exposure, would be great if the radio played this

stuff. If you want to hear this you have to get satellite radio,at least

we have that. The radio plays crap like green day,goo goo dolls and the foo

fighters since when are they hard rock?.Hail to 80's and amazon for

intoducing rock like this.If you like real good rock this is great for

your collection.

5 out of 5 stars Freakin' Awesome   April 28, 2008

I bought this when it first came out back in the early 90's on cassette. I have nearly worn that out and was actually just looking around when I saw it here on disc. These guys were great, too bad the grunge era ran off the real rock bands. I remember getting this because of knowing Phil from the Ozzy days. I do think that Phil joined this band and left the Vince Neil project or vice versa....that was all quite some time ago. Anyway, if you get this and you love the late 80's hard rock/metal scene....you won't be disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
