| Editorial Reviews:
Album Description Originally released as a limited edition triple LP, the Glastonbury Fayre Festival album has been an extremely rare item for many years, bootlegged or re-released in abridged versions of this particularly impressive 1972 live festival. Now the original album is back with this edition of 2CDs + 1 DVD, packaged exactly like the original release. The importance of this document lies in the artist roster: an incredible number of undisputed gurus of underground psychedelia are present here in an incredibly memorable series of concerts. The CDs feature The Grateful Dead, Brinsley Schwarz, Mighty Baby, Marc Bolan, Pete Townshend, David Bowie, Hawkwind, Skin Alley, Daevid Allen & Gong, Pink Fairies, and The Edgar Broughton Band. The DVD includes performances by Terry Reid, Fairport Convention, Family, Melanie, Arthur Brown, Quintessence and Traffic.

Save your money March 16, 2008 AMK 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I own the three lps on vinyl and was excited to upgrade to CD *and* get the concert footage. I should not have bothered. While the music is fine, the DVD is a crappy third generation copy and that is inexcusable--I have a better copy that I taped from IFC last year. For ultra-purists, the color of the box is also wrong. All in all, this is worth about 11.98 for the audio. I returned mine for a refund.
