Product Description They re called One Flew South, but Royal Reed, Chris Roberts and Eddie Bush, whose debut album is appropriately titled Last of the Good Guys, actually had to fly north to launch their career. A Decca Records conference room, three voices and 20 minutes were all that was required to land the group a recording deal. Now, nearly eight months later the vocal group, who worked with some of music s most prominent songwriters including Marcus Hummon and J.D. Souther, is ready to release their debut album March 11th.
Regardless of the time it took for One Flew South to land their recording and publishing contract, they are no overnight success. Rather, the three Nashville based vocalist-songwriters have been involved in the music business for years prior to hitting upon a perfect combination and bringing back to life a band starring three superbly matched vocalists whose harmonies are unparalleled. One Flew South teamed up with Nashville songwriter Marcus Hummon to produce their debut album. A Nashville-based songwriter whose catalog contained six No. 1 hits from the likes of The Dixie Chicks, Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts Grammy-winning Bless the Broken Road, Marcus bought out the best in all three members of the group from singing to songwriting. The guys also teamed up with legendary songwriter J.D. Souther, who co-wrote such Eagles classics as Best of My Love and Heartache Tonight, to write several of the tracks on the album. J.D. s notable lyrical ability is prominent on the album and the result is nothing less than an amazing album of trio harmonies and sound that the music industry has not heard in quite some time.

Hot New Sound! May 29, 2008 Gloria Molnar (NYC) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I got this CD today and it is a must have here folks. The sound is very fresh with shades of bluegrass and the styling of The Gatlin Brothers and the Eagles with a hot modern twist. The harmonies of these three men are quite striking and beautiful. This is a brand new vibe with a brand new upcoming trio in my opinion a must have from the first note to the last. The lyrics speak to this generation and transcends to all ages in spirit lyric and song. My first impression was that it is beautiful and deserves the attention of truly sitting down with it after which I am sure it will fast become a close kept friend that you long for more of. For a debut CD this is a bullet out of the starting gate. These guys are the pulse of what music should feel and sound like. All the best to them! To you all out there looking for something real to listen to buy this CD!!!
It's about time. May 27, 2008 S. Tanner (Charleston, SC) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
With the majority of mediocre bands coming out these days, it's nice to see a band like this that is actually..well..good. Very original and catchy but still remaining very solid. Key tracks: "Shameless", "Let the Day Carry You", and "She's A Gift"
Hottest new vocal group out there. June 14, 2008 Christopher Glenn (Charleston, SC USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
What a great CD! The vocals on this CD are just outstanding, as are the songwriting and lyrics (lyrics most of us can relate to). The songs are so catchy, and have such great hooks, you'll find yourself singing along to these songs immediately. Highly recommended.
fabulous band!!! June 16, 2008 Candy Klimes (ca) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is absolutely the best band I have heard in 30 years!! The harmonies are fabulous and the songs touch your soul and make your heart soar!!! Anyone that knows one thing about music will love this CD!!
Marcus Hummon returns to his roots. June 22, 2008 G. Haley (Nashville, TN USA) Marcus Hummon who produced this great CD also wrote or co-authored many of the songs as well as playing along as a sideman. This is great music with three terrific lead artists, backed up by top rate accompanists. It is hard to specify a category, but to me country pop covers it.
