Item has been downgraded April 19, 2008 SH (Milpitas, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The item apparently was black metal at one time as show in the photo. They ran out of stock and apparently on the reorder replaced the pen with a cheap feeling light grey rubbery feeling pen.
I found my pen after 30 years of looking... get the right refill. May 12, 2008 Tom O. Ashwell (Minneapolis Minnesota USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is fantastic, I know the refill is the heart of it, but the grip is important too. Actually, the refill can go to balzes. I like the feel, so I found the perfect refill: The Uniball Jetstream refill. The one for the stick pen needs to have the black plug removed from the end of it, but the click pen version does not have one. Available in "bold" and fine point, it is the smoothest feeling pen refill I have ever used, and inside a Pentech Matisse, I may never look for a better pen again. Seriously, try it, you might LOVE it. The quality is comperable to a $50 pen and the feel is unbeatable. My advice is to get one before they disappear - as so many good things do. One word of caution: they come in so many colours and finishes, you might want to get one over the counter. I have four, and the black laquer finish one like that shown is wonderful, and it is brass under laquer paint. Some have a rubbery coating and other colours and they feel a little weird. Just FYI.
GREAT pen April 24, 2008 Phil (Kentucky) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Nice, classy looking pen--black and steel, roller ball and med. point. I wish they made a fine point, but coming from someone who is really picky about pens and too cheap to buy the truly good ones, this is my favorite pen yet. Writes quite smoothly, needs very little pressure.
A Terrible Pen May 16, 2008 Patrick Shane (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This pen is terrible. I purchased one... It did not write smooth at all. The ink came out uneven. I figured I would give it another try, as it might have just been that particular pen. So, I returned it in exchange for another.... Same thing.. Plus, the metal end, where you place your fingers when writing, is slippery. So, not only is the writing uneven and patchy at best, it is uncomfortable to us because of the slippery end. I would not recommend at all. Apperance, I would give it an A... But, otherwise and F.... In fact I would just kick this pen out of school, it's that bad!!
Very smooth November 2, 2007 The Divine Ms E (Albuquerque, NM United States) One of the nicest roller ball pens I have used in many years. Very affordable, nice touch.
