A Useful Filler Item! May 22, 2008 Hummingbirder (Pataskala, OH) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Got this for less than $2.00 to help me qualify for free super saver shipping. The blade is about 1/3 inch wide, and has break off scores on it. When the edge gets dull, you remove it at the break and you get a new, sharp edge. Essentially, it's a razor knife with a lot of little razors strung together. This is plastic and not heavy duty, but a handy tool for opening packages, cutting fabric, pruning plant stems (not woody stems), cutting gift wrap. It will not replace a sturdy, wider razor knife for heavy duty jobs, but it's a nice, handy, household tool, especially when you need to make a small, detailed cut. The first thing I used it for was to cut open a coir pot so I could plant a tomato. For safety's sake, the knife blade can be reinserted into the slot and the open end of the handle can be covered with the attached cap.
Useful knife June 29, 2008 Eric Johnson (Joplin, MO USA) If you are looking for a sharp filler item to reach the Super Saver free shipping threshold, then this could be the right tool for you. Sure, it is a bit more expensive than comparable knives at the local dollar store, but dude it is at least something that won't sit on your desk and collect dust. You'll find lots of uses for this knife. It's great for opening envelopes and boxes. And, it is useful for all sorts of household repair tasks.
