Product Description You can add up to three additional KX-TGA100N handset units to maximize each system (KX-TG1000N / KX-TG1050N). The KX-TGA100N comes with a charging cradle and is a versatile, easy-to-use cordless handset that allows you to expand your system. Just plug in the AC charging cradle for each additional cordless handset and the system is ready for use - allowing individual telephone access even in rooms without telephone jacks.
Amazon.com Product Description Designed for use with the Panasonic KXTG1000N and KXTG1050N 2.4GHz Multi-Handset Cordless Phone bases, this champagne-colored handset combines quality performance with stylish design. It operates on the 2.4 GHz band with a pure digital signal for clear reception and crisp conversations. Plus, digital spread spectrum technology changes channels multiple times every second, spreading your digitized voice over a range of frequencies, improving both sound and security. The handset features a backlit four-line LCD for Caller ID, making screening and tracking your calls a breeze. Phones are a nice system in home August 2, 2007 Jill D. Travers (Webster, New York United States) We had two of these phones, and on one of them the buttons quit working (wouldn't register when pushed); but, it's compact, and otherwise works well. We then purchased several of them to put throughout the house because of the intercom feature (can call each other from different parts of our home) and the fact they're not bulky phones. There is good reception, and can be used outside.
Great phone - Great System March 18, 2005 Choppy Bootup (Mississippi Gulf Coast) Our system is nearly 4 years old & continues to serve our needs. Started w/ only base & 1 handset & have added maximum of 3 handsets total. Continue to explore built-in features that add value to the system - ie: Caller ID, Ringer Selection, Intercom, remote paging. When teenagers leave the phone in some mysterious place around the house, it can be easily found! That's a huge plus. Smart feature! It's a GREAT system in fact, I plan to find a set for my family out of state because it would be perfect for them. The only down side is ... it has been discontinued by Panasonic. The up side, I'm sure they have created an even better system, and batteries are still available. Thanks Panasonic! Will I run out & upgrade? No way! In fact, if a portion of my system fails, I will likely try to repair it or replace it with like product rather than replace the entire system with something new.
Worth the Extra Handset. January 30, 2005 H. Hilton (Charlotte, NC) I actually purchased this phone a few years ago when it cost a good bit more than it does now and would still reccomend it at teh original price. I moved from a 2 bedroom small condo into a 3000+ sqft house and still have amazing range. I will only caution you that the expandable handset is a must because the ringers aren't very loud and the speakerphone on the base isn't as clear as the new wave of speakerphones. However, the handsfree speaker option on teh actual handset souns just like you are talking on the phone, none of that echo "can you hear me now" effect.
We like it so much, we're getting another January 1, 2004 Even though the Panasonic KX-TG1050N base phone has been around for years, we're getting an additional handset rather than ditch the base phone.
Great home system December 2, 2002 M. Wade (Urbana, MD) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Have the base with 4 extra handsets. Great range - maintains coverage even where a previous 2.4Ghz set failed. Handsets are small but with great keypads and simple operation. Speakerphone works well and handset will stand unsupported on desk when using speakerphone - improving clarity. Only complaint is the LCD screen can be hard to read in certain lighting conditions. Smaller antenna on handset than the newer extended range handsets make them a better fit in the room.
