Amazon.com Product Review There's no getting around the fact that tools are heavy. And awkward. And it's a real chore to haul them around, especially up and down ladders. We think Custom LeatherCraft's backpack is a great solution, with 75 pockets and a place for everything - even a drill. It's made of DuPont Cordura Plus, a fabric that DuPont has been improving for decades and using for luggage, sporting apparel, boots, shoes, and golf and ski bags. It's a rugged nylon blend that stands up to abuse, weather and wear. There's plenty of room for everything you have to haul around: a 14-piece wrench sets, cable stripper, screwdrivers, rasps, pliers, hammer, locking pliers, clamps, you name it. We like the compartmentalized plastic container for everything from wire caps to screws and fuses, keeping everything sorted and at your fingertips. It slips neatly into its own hook-and-loop strapped pocket. There's even a convenient spot for your corded or cordless drill with a hook-and-loop fastener that keeps it secure. If you load this backpack up, it's heavy. But like we said, tools are heavy. This just makes it easier to carry them where you need them, with your hands free for toting more supplies or hanging onto a pole or ladder. We like it for convenience, and we love it for personal safety.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste What's in the Box Backpack, 7-by-5-inch multi-compartment plastic tray

impulse buy, but has its pluses April 23, 2008 dog is my copilot (San Francisco, California USA) cons: won't zip shut if your drill is 14.4V or higher!! Compartments are too small. Unless you carry around a lot of small things, they are worthless. No labeling spots for little pockets: you will search a lot for your tape measure! Definitely gets heavy - the pack is too big. If you fill it, watch out. just OK construction, and for the amount of weight, this isnt good. pros: the zippers seem good. the different layers move like turning pages, works nice. nice to keep hands free if your going up a lot of steps or a ladder -that part works.
Well built product. December 21, 2007 Maine Jeepah (Southern Maine) This toolbag was purchased to replace a very heavy hard sided tool case with roughly 30lbs of tools and testing equipment in it. Works well for small hand tools and a few small parts etc.... Frees up your hands to carry other things while getting to your work. I use this bag mostly just the sling one strap over my shoulder, but for longer walks to a jobsite using both would be ideal. The storage areas are generous, and well thought out for a variety of hand tools. The pack appears well constructed, the zippers work well even when a section is overstuffed with tools. The carry handles on the top are a good idea, come in handy for short walks. The backpack straps are fine for the most part, my only complaint would be that they should have a different material on them to keep them from slipping off of your shoulder. This only happens if you use one strap at a time like I do, otherwise they are more than adequate. Overall I am happy with this product, and woudl recommend it to anyone that finds themselves carrying alot of hand tools on a daily basis.
Great for tools September 19, 2007 Ashley Broomfield (Everett, WA) I thought the tool back was great when I first saw it, and I like it even better now that I have it. Great find, hard to get in stores. I've got it loaded up with about 70lbs worth of tools and it's holding together so far. No signs of stress on anything, but I have only had it for about a month. Been asked about it a dozen times though.
A great Tool bag April 3, 2007 Joseph Gladney (Lyerly,ga) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I hadseen this bag about 5 yrs ago but could not find it,I had looked everywhere including where the guy who had the one I had seen told me he bought it,which was at a Grainger store, but i could not find it,but now that i have it,I believe it is probably the single greatest investment I have gotten for my tool collection.I am an electrician in a union,IBEW Local 613 and probably my greatest gripe is having to dig through my whole tool bag or box,I have both,to find a tool, but with the backpack i no longer have that problem, everything is very organized and easy to get to,I truly enjoy my bag and I am constantly showing it off
My review February 7, 2007 Javier Suarez (Bronx, New York United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I work in theater and trade shows. I like the bag and what it can hold. I dont care for what it cannot hold. It's pockets are very shallow, even though there are over sixty of them. Unless all of your tools are 4" long the bag wont hold it too snugly.
