The 30-second Pressure Washer May 3, 2008 Debbi 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
With spring at our doorstep, we purchased this for windows, siding and drive clean-up. It arrived with parts missing (we purchased parts) and no warranty. We're still not sure if some of the provided parts were the right ones as the instructions state to make sure hole in gas cap is not blocked...there is no hole in the gas cap. At any rate, after several hours of assembly, we fired it up. It started immediately. Ran for about 30 seconds. Started it up again. Ran for about 30 seconds. After a couple of hours of start and stop, we contacted the distributor. They were unable to help, as we had purchased the item from Amazon and the warranty only applies to the original owner. The washer does not work, there is no support available and it can't be shipped back. OUCH! Thank goodness that Amazon was able to resolve the matter to our 100% satisfaction.
Great Power Washer November 21, 2007 George Graef (Canyon Lake, CA) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
The Blue Max 2200PSI pressure washer is an excellent tool. After a quick assembly, filling the oil reservoir on the engine, and filling it with gas it started up on the 3rd pull. Since then it always starts on the first pull. I only gave it 4 stars due to the fact a 10 mm nut was missing which I fortunately had one in my hardware box and the supplied plastic garden hose quick disconnect fittings broke after about an hour on the first use. So I had to make a trip to the hardware store and get som brass fittings. The difference in price between plastic and metal is $2.00. The distributor should consider the brass quick disconnect fittings. I have about 10 hours on it and it does every job with ease.
WOW May 27, 2008 Francine V. Gay (HOMEVILLE,PA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
WHAT A GREAT VALUE. SPENT 10 MINUTES PUTTING IT TOGETHER . SPENT THE NEXT 4 HOURS WASHING EVERYTHING . GREAT JOB , NOT TOO LOUD. THE ONLY COMPLAINT THE PLASTIC FIXTURE FOR THE HOSE ATTACHMENT WONT LAST TOO LONG BUT CAN REPLACE THAT WITH BRASS FIXTURE FOR ABOUT 2 BUCKS. VERY HAPPY.
Pretty solid unit June 11, 2008 Juliusz A. Kostecki (South Windsor, CT USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The unit arrived in so-so packaging. As with everyone else, I had a nut missing. This is in my opinion due to the fact that mine were thrown into the box loose, they should be bagged. I fished second nut out of the corner of box. So, after getting one from my hardware box, I assembled the unit. Reading thru instruction I learned that I need SAE 30 oil. So next thing I did is I went and I bought 2 quarts of such oil. I filled the engine (uses about 1/3 of bottle or even less). Filled in the gas. Hooked up the hose. Turned on the water (supplied connector started leaking, more on this later). Unit started on third try. I test drove it and was pretty impressed with results. Things you want to get before washer arrives: 1 Quart of SAE 30 (this is not modern engine oil!) 1 Quick Connect Male-Female Brass (I use plastic everwhere so I bought plastic but if you start from scratch, get brass) 1 Female-Female connector from Lowes or Homedepot. Anderson Barrows PBGH2 3/4" FE Hose/FE Hose Swivel (Lowes had it) worked perfectly for me. This is because power washer has male connector (not female like all sprinklers, heads, etc that connect directly to hose) and all quick connects come with male as well. You can't connect male with male :) Activities before you run your unit: Fuel: Put fuel in. Oil: Pour until indicator is at proper level. Gender converter: Screw on the swivel connector onto power washer. This will make a female connector available on the the power washer. The one I listed above requires to use quite some force, but once it is on, it is on! Quick Connector: Screw in the male part onto power washer, female onto hose, you are ready to go! Notes: Chemical application requires you to put "low pressure" tip. The detergent won't be sucked in with any other tip. Level the unit perfectly. It will cut the fuel once it is even so slightly tipped. If your unit shuts down after 15-30s, it is not leveled! Use a little bleach with your detergent when cleaning white siding, you'll be amazed how much quicker it goes. Enjoy!
