Amazon.com Product Description REVIEW:This Yard Man model is ideal for yards of 2,000 feet or less. At 139 cc, this machine is a little below average in terms of power, but will be fine for most circumstances. If you'll be routinely cutting dense, wet grass, or if your lawn is very large, you may want a little more power (see the Yard Man #11B-439Q756).This model features exceptionally large rear wheels. At 12 inches, these make this model extremely maneuverable in tight spots-perfect for smaller yards. Like most mowers, this one includes an engagement lever that stops the engine and blade when it's released. This is somewhat less convenient than models that include a blade brake that lets you keep the motor running, but you have to spend extra money for this feature. The mower includes a recoil starter (these start much easier than their stubborn predecessors did-it usually takes one or two pulls to get the engine going) and a choke knob. According to the manual, you may not need to use the choke if the engine is warm or the air temperature is high. Both the starter handle and the choke knob are mounted halfway up the handle. The 11A-54MB055 features a 3-in-1 deck. This means you can mulch, side-discharge, or collect your clippings in a rear-mount grass catcher. You can also adjust the cutting height via adjustment levers mounted on the wheels. This is a good, powerful mower that would be well-suited for smaller yards. Two-year warranty. Conforms to Air Resource Board regulations. For safety, don't mow on inclines of more than 15 degrees, and always mow across a slope, not up it.--Josh Dettweiler What's in the Box Mower (wheels, blade and hardware, hardware pack), grass catcher, side discharge chute, mulch plug, oil fill cap/dipstick

Good for the money... October 11, 2007 Eric in TX (Austin, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This lawnmower has no bells and whistles. It is a barebones bagging mower. BUT, so far it's great at what it does, and you cannot beat the price! I've only had it 3 weeks, so I cannot speak as to life of the motor--which should be the biggest concern when buying a mower. Pros: 1.) It started on the second pull out of the box 2.) It works well for the price Cons: 1.) It's hard to get the grass out of the bag, but that's typical when you bag grass. 2.) My mower was damaged when it arrived. For shipping, the front wheels are adjusted beyone their highest position. This actually resulted in the adjustment lever becoming bent and some paint chipping off the deck. Because of the way the wheel-height adjustment mechanism works, the bent lever causes the front left wheel to have a difficult time retaining it's height setting. I'm sure I could take the whole wheel assembly off and bend the part back, but I shouldn't have to do that on a new mower--and I haven't gotten around to it yet. All-in-all, I'd buy this again--but I hope it wouldn't show up damaged the second time.
Lawn Mower January 23, 2008 Richard K. Miller (Mission Viejo) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Lawn Mower works great starts easy and turns easy, the only problem is with the big wheels on the back when you are close to a wall it is hard to push.
Spend A Little More June 27, 2008 Michael Sean (Amherst, NY) I spent $13 more and got a Poulan that is self propelled and has electric start. Turn a key and you're on your way.
