Very Nice, Affordable Mower April 23, 2008 T. Clark (AL United States) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
SuperSaver shipping was fast - thanks Amazon! Mower was well packed. Assembly consisted of opening the box, rolling out the mower, extending the handle, adding included oil, and filling with gasoline -- in all, less than 10 minutes. Mower started on the first pull. The Poulan mower is ready for mulching, is reasonably light weight (about 20% lighter than the mower, having very similar specs, it replaced), and rolls very smoothly. I am unable to see the mulched clippings. This mower is a joy to use!
Poulan Pro 21 inch beware July 9, 2008 Lawrence A. Raines (Bloomington, Illinois United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I received my brand spanking new Poulan Pro lawnmower today. Came nicely packaged in the box. Simple assembly. I read the start up manual, inserted gasoline and oil. It took me at least 30 tries to get the mower started. It ran nicely and mowed beautifully for about 10 minutes then began running very rough. I stopped the mower and checked to make sure the spark plug wire was secure and it was. I have now attempted starting this mower multiple times including removing and cleaning the spark plug (as directed in the manual)three times. It simply will not start. I have rechecked the oil and gasoline and both are OK. If I don't already have a roator cuff injury from trying to start this mower I soon will have. I can't even begin to imagine the cheapest mower on the market causing this much hassle. Customer BEWARE. Don't purchase this product. I can't believe a Briggs and Stratton engine can be this pathetic. Count me disgusted.
Easy affordable mower June 27, 2008 Sleepless (Anoka, MN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My old Sears mower gave out and I saw this on the Gold Box page so I decided to give it a try sight unseen. I am a woman on my own so shopping for stuff like this drives me crazy. How great is it to have a mower delivered right to your doorstep like this?? Pretty awesome!! No shopping, no lifting, no transporting a huge box in the back of your car... really great! I had this mower out of the box and mowing my lawn within 20 minutes time (including reading the manual believe it or not - LOL. I am a girl after all!!). Started on the first pull and was easy for me to operate. I have a 0.6 acre lot and it did a real nice job - quickly and easily. Cleaned up nicely afterward too!
good but not great for the value May 3, 2008 J. Jean-baptiste (North Jersey, usa) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is a fairly good lawnmower. It stalled a couple of times with wet grass. Starting it requires a very hard pull. The cut is nice and even. Pushing it uphill is a good workout.
Not Disappointed at all May 28, 2008 Bobalu (NJ USA) Wasn't exactly comfortable purchasing a lawn mower without seeing it in person, but couldn't pass up the bargain. I anxiously opened and "assembled" it and used it for the first time. I was totally pleased with its performance, style, and efficiency. Later that day, a local landscaper stopped me and asked where I bought it. Seems that he had the same lawn mower for years and years and when it finally died on him he had difficulty finding another one. He thought it was one of the best he'd ever used. I told him where I got it and within a week he was cutting grass in the neighborhood, using the same mower. I couldn't be happier with this lawn mower.
