By emitting a low-frequency, ultrasonic sound, this lightweight, portable light repels mosquitoes while simultaneously illuminating a 20-foot-square area around an outdoor barbecue grill or picnic table. To ward off mosquitoes, switch the device to either of three levels of ultrasonic sounds, which repel female mosquitoes (the biters) by imitating their natural enemies. (The sound will not harm pets or children.) For illumination the light comes with a replaceable, high-intensity bulb. The light's head can be adjusted up and down, and the adjustable arm holding the light extends to 16 inches and locks in place at any chosen height and angle with the twist of a knob. For storage, the arm folds flat, creating a profile for the device of a mere 9-1/2 inches wide, 3-1/2 inches high, and 3 inches deep. The light attaches to a grill with a stainless-steel clip, which can be removed for the light to sit flat on a table. My BBQ Grill was in complete darkness before I had the Zelco Bug-off BBQ light. This light is very effective. It has a toggle switch for bug repellent (off, one bug type noise, another bug type noise, and then a dragon fly repellent noise). If you extend the arm, the light automatically turns on, with or without a bug repellent noise. This means you don't need to hear those high pitched noises (and you can hear them) if you don't want to.
My grill has no place to clip this on, but that is no problem. With the weight of the 4 D batteries, it sits securely on the side of my grill. In order to use the clip on though, you will need a totally flat ledge on the side of the grill.
I have owned this light for almost 2 years now and I am completely satisfied.

The bug off bbq light doesn't work.
The mosquitoes don't seem to be affected by this!

First you and J&R Music World (supplier) were terrific. I ordered the light on Monday and recieved it Tuesday morning!!!Not only did I pay less than retail but the light is extremely attractive and works great! As a customer, you don't need more than that. Five stars to everybody.
