Go Stainless June 23, 2000 koba22 (Meadow Vista, CA United States) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
After a year and a half of heavy grilling (2-3x a week), the original flavorizers finally had had enough. I replaced them with the stainless steel, and after about 2 1/2 years, they are still standing up extremely well. It is worth the extra 20 to 30 dollars for the stainless steel. They do the same job as the porcelein, but they seem to do it longer.By the way, it may just be me, but they seem to burn more evenly.
Really just an update June 14, 2001 koba22 (Meadow Vista, CA United States) 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
I'm the same Koba22 from below. Here I am at 3 1/2 years with my stainless steel flavorizer bars, and they are still doing the job. I'm a fairly heavy BBQer (2-3x a week), and they are standing up like champs. I'm beginning to see some signs of deterioration, but I've still another year with them (I think).Pay the extra money and go stainless. Right now, they have lasted me more than twice as long as the porcelin flavorizers.
Great Upgrade December 22, 2002 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
This upgrade is worth every penny. I agree with the reviewer that felt that heating was more even. I would add that they seem to burn the drippings off better and keep the inside of the grill cleaner. There is no doubt in my mind that the addition of this product makes the original design all the better.
A nice upgrade June 10, 2001 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
After 3 years the porcelain-coated flavorizer bars on our grill have just about had it.The stainless steel ones are working well and they will hopefully last a long time.
Excelleent product and fast delivery August 7, 2005 G. Feldbauer (Nebraska, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Item arrived very soon after ordering using the free shipping option. Product is of very good quality manufactured by Weber -- not a look alike manufactured somewhere by someone you have never heard of.
