WINDOW BIRD WATCHING MADE EASY!!! September 22, 2006 L. Godshall (Orefield/Allentown, PA USA) 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
This is one of 7 feeders that I have at my home NOTHING relaxes me and perks me up more than seeing all the colorful birds around my home. When I saw this one at it's incredible price, I had to give it a shot. It mounted to the window in about 30 seconds-I filled it with finch food, and had a purple finch perched and eating an hour later! What a thrill to be cleaning house, at the computer or relaxing in my recliner, and to be able to look out of our big, bay window and see the goldfinches and other birds perched. NEGATIVES: Perch is a LITTLE on the "flimsy" side, but no one's fallen off yet. Doesn't come with instructions - I could see this being a problem for someone unfamiliar with feeders. Other than that? Good job, once AGAIN, to Garden Song!
This bird feeder does the trick! May 1, 2007 Leah Bannon (Washington, DC) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is a pretty good feeder. I've had it up for a few days and the birds are already enjoying it. Note that the suction cup attachment is a separate piece from the actual feeder - the feeder kind of hangs onto it. So, if you're looking for a feeder that is easy to remove and fill, this is it. However, if you need something that can withstand a strong wind and rainstorm, I'm a little skeptical - although it hasn't fallen yet!
Not good for sunflower seeds November 11, 2007 R. Lemons (NM USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I only tried this feeder with sunflower seeds which does not work very well. Frequently the seeds get stuck above the bird's feeding port. This requires the feeder to be shaken to allow additional seeds to fall within the bird's reach. It probably would work fine with small seeds.
I can see the birds! March 31, 2006 mr Sottsass (MA, USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Finally a feeder that lets you view the birds rather than obstruct there view from inside the house! Really easy to fill and clean too! Not to metion it can easily be taken down from the window, I dont need to peel off the suction cups every time!
Falls off window February 3, 2008 Peggy (Norfolk, VA United States) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
If only filled with a half cup of bird seed it will stay attached to the window, otherwise it falls off. Even at that, none of the birds or squirrels ate the seed which was disappointing since I purchased a 20# bag. It's going to Goodwill.
