Amazon.com Product Description Low glare lighting for garden landscaping or to outline a walk or steps, the Malibu LX58720P low voltage lighting kit is a great DIY project. The kit includes 14 tier lights and 6 Zoom Floodlights, which can be changed to spot lights with a turn of the wrist. The fixtures can be arranged in any pattern along the 100 feet of cable included with the kit. Each 12-volt 4-watt fixture is attached to the cable with a quick clamp system, which also allows for additional fixtures to be added as needed. Power is supplied by an 80-watt Photo Control power pack that plugs into any standard grounded household outlet. --C. Dwight Barnett

Great entry level product. May 3, 2006 Richard Macartney (McKinney, TX) 15 out of 17 found this review helpful
I recently purchsed this set. I had been considering lanscape lighting for several months, but knowing little about it determined to wait until I could afford a complete solution. At the discounted price of $38 this option offered a low risk entry to the technology. I was very happy with the ease of installation and the qty of lights. The lights are plasitic and feel very temporary, but look nice enough. I was able to light up half of my yard, but did have to buy a heavier gauge wire as 100 feet was not quite enough to get the job done. All in all, I purchased another set for the other side of the yard so that is probably as much of an endorsement as needed.

Ever pick up a set of lincoln logs at a garage sale and get home and have your kid open it to find a box of miscellaneous parts stuffed in to a box? Half of the items are broken and some parts are just not there? If you miss those days - then this is the item for you! Wow, good one Amazon. They really should keep the marketing groups from the manufacturer from writing these reviews. My wife actually giggled at the look on my face when I opened the box. I am glad I didn't cut myself on the broken glass. On the upside, there is absolutely no packaging to discard except for the outer box. Oh - and its contents.
Malibu LX58720P Fourteen-LX1, Six-LX9Z, 100 Ft. Cable, ML80P Photo Control Power Pack August 15, 2006 Jennings (USA) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is probally a product you will open and not ever touch again. The quality of the lamps is dismal. All electical connection s have to be hand soldered by the buyer. And,oddly enough, the box containing the lamps looked faded and old, definetly a product sitting on the shelve s a long time.
box FULL of junk July 25, 2006 R. Phelan (san antonio, TX USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was excited to see landscape lights at a bargain price, so I jumped on this set. When it arrived, I was very surprised to see that I had to assemble EVERYTHING from cheap plastic parts. none of it was "packaged" - all the parts were thrown in there as if they were leaving town in a hurry. very disappointed in the quality of this product.
Excellent value easy to install, years of service! November 16, 2007 Adirondack Jack (Adirondacks, NY) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Unlike other reviewers, I found the product to be simple to assemble and easy to install. I have had a similar set of lights that has ringed my deck for nearly ten years. The lights are on at dusk and off at dawn - 365 days a year. I have had to replace one or two bulbs of the whole lot in that length of time. The package had everything that I needed to install the lights, nothing missing, nothing broken. While they are not high end stuff, they work well and hold up to hot summers and icy-cold winters - and have for years.
