Used Ultrathon during a 10 day visit to the upper Amazon region. The mosquitoes, sandflies and chiggers left me alone, while harassing some of my travel companions. Even our local guide was happy to use some at one point.
It still worked effectively when overlaid by a sunblock.

Yes, well, I only had benefit of a friend recommending this product and all she mentioned was that it worked on her trip to India. I neglected to inquire further and bought the stuff. Again, yes, well, anything with that much DEET in it should work....on lots of larger predators as well. I think I'll risk the malaria and west nile virus 'cause the odds are better than the sure slow death related to slathering on radio active bug repellent. More regulation needed perhaps?
