DON'T BUY!!!!! May 26, 2006 Hitman (KY) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
We JUST bought this and I hung it on the wall by my grill. Hooked everything up just fine and turned it on to try it. Well, it leaked out the bottom for some reason. I just thought I didn't get the hose on tight or something. The next week AFTER the trash ran and I didn't have the box it came in anymore, I did some grilling, went to use it and more water came out the bottom of the sink and all over the deck ind not from the faucet. I was a little busy to fool with it at that time but when I did take it apart, the plastic on the inside was broken off!!! And this isn't just some piece that you can run to Ace Hardware and get. I NEVER got to use the sink and now I have holes in the brick where it hung. DON'T waist your money!!!!!!!!!
Huh; me too! June 21, 2006 zzz05 (New Haven Connecticut) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
That's funny (the previous review). I got one (from another vendor). On the plus side, it's pretty much what I expected and I'm reasonably satisfied. Except for, as seems to have been the case with the other reviewer, the nice little recessed-into-the-side connector for the hose to the wall faucet was snapped off where it was inserted into the internal hose to the spigot, inside the thing. Obviously, this happened during assembly, since once it's assembled it's inside the thing and can't break during shipping no matter what; so whoever assembled it seems to be in the habit of breaking them and packing and shipping them anyway. Anyway, I decided I didn't want to return it and wait some more (like I said, otherwise it's a decent item and I couldn't wait to use it), so I decided to fix it; like the other guy said, there's no kind of fitting or fittings available that can be cobbled together to replace the broken one's nice recessed-into-the-side-ness (and I am a major expert at cobbling things together), so I ended up taking it completely apart and replacing the hose to the internal spigot with one that runs out the side and all the way to the wall faucet. Not as pretty, but works just fine, and now I not only find it useful, but I have great pride of having cobbled it together. So..... obviously factory quality control on the item isn't great, so factor in the possibility of either having to return it for replacement, or cobbling something together; and check it out immediately on receipt rather than waiting until you want to hook it up.
If I could give it less than one star...... July 7, 2006 A. Shah (Ann Arbor, MI) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This sink (purchased through another vendor) caused problems from day one. The hook up for the hose was broken - as stated in the previous reviews. My husband managed to get it hooked up anyway, but it still leaks all over the place. And after cleaning off the top from this winter, I find that the spigot - that tucks down into the well when the top is closed - is cracked right at the curve. I think this is probably not a fixable break. We would need a new spigot and this does not seem to be made for replacement parts. By the way, we drained it of all water before shutting it up for the winter. This was a huge waste of money.
Should be removed from market August 2, 2007 Midwest Guy (Chicago, IL) Wish I'd read the reviews first. Product was broken, just like the others. I contacted Jobar to get replacement parts. Was told "unable to sell or provide customer service support". So we are just out of luck.
