Came with a broken spark plug which was not new. I wonder how you can recondition a trimmer without changing the spark plug? Had to go find a spark plug to fit in the trimmer before I could crank the thing up. It runs very rough and vibrates a lot at idle but does smooth out when you throttle it up. It will probably do a good job of trimming but it's not up to the quality of my old Ryobi trimmer.

I was cautiuos about purchasing a reconditiond string trimmer but it has worked well and is very compatable with my existing attachments. I saved $$ buying this tool.

I received my reconditioned trimmer and mid way through the first use the string stopped advancing. I couldn't advance it by hand even though there was plenty left. I couldn't get the spool off and it took me the rest of the day to do that. I rewound the string used it but it won't advance. This string advance head is awful it is nothing like the other RYOBI I had and if I had know how ineffective it is I wouldn't have bought this model. Nothing but frustration.

This trimmer runs well and except for the markings you would not know it wasn't brand new. Starts fast and dose a great job.

This works okay but we are replacing the string assembly as this one uses too small a diameter string. It is so thin you have to rev the thing up to full blast to cut thick grass. The new string assembly is expensive so I spent more money than I wanted to in order to have a machine that is useful.
