Product Description Nothing says home comfort like Frigidaire. Nobody delivers better quality, better service or a broader variety of home comfort products. With units ranging from 5,000 BTUH to 28,500 BTUH they provide quiet, efficient and reliable air conditioners for years of trouble-free service. Most included a remote thermostat, clean air filtration and low voltage start-up to add to consumer comfort, convenience and safety. And with their ENERGY STAR qualification for efficiency, they can provide comfort and savings for any room in your home. You expect all this from Frigidaire... and they deliver. How to Choose a Room Air Conditioner Compared to large capacity central units, room air conditioners have several advantages. The initial cost of a room air conditioning unit is significantly lower than the cost of central air. Because room air conditioners are designed for cooling small spaces, operating costs are reduced. And, room air conditioners can provide personalized temperature and humidity controls that central systems cannot. Calculating Cooling Capacity Cooling capacity is the critical factor in properly selecting a room air conditioner. Cooling capacity is measured in British Thermal Units (BTUs) and typical models will range in capacity from 5,000 BTUs to 28,500 BTUs. Choosing an undersized unit will overwork the unit and it will not cool properly. Choosing an oversized unit will cost more to buy and operate and it will not dehumidify properly. We can help you to calculate capacity. Multiply the length by the width to determine square footage or square meters. Locate the room size in the chart

Installation Instructions HORRIBLE June 17, 2007 Hilda Brynn (USA) 8 out of 22 found this review helpful
The installation instructions are absolutely horrible, and appear to have been written by either a 5yo or a true idiot. The instructions have spelling errors, very poor drawings, and you pretty much have to guess and or improvise as to how to correctly install the air conditioner. This was a headache in itself, and I would not recommend this product at all based on the misery associated with installing this product.
This unit is a workhorse September 17, 2007 Raymond W. Helenius 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have been using this unit in the hottest summer on record in Phoenix and it has performed great. Installation was typical of a window unit and was not a problem at all. The manual states that if the unit go on and off quickly to move the temperature sensor away from the cooling coils. I tried this and it didn't stay in place so I put a piece of foam weatherstripping behind it to hold it out from the coils and the unit has worked great since. The remote sensor feature really makes this unit work well and cools the place down. Noise isn't bad for this size unit.
INSULATION NIGHTMARE August 6, 2007 R. layer (New York) 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
This was next to impossible to figure out directions & after the unit was loaded into my car a customer pulled up to me and told me his same unit did NOT even last 2 months.
Still going strong June 26, 2008 A. Patlan (Texas) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Still going strong after a year. The batteries that come with the remote have been the only thing that has gone out. I'm not really a read the instructions kinda guy but don't recall having any issues with it other than maybe the top screws with the weather stripping. I came looking online for the manual so I can figure out how to use the timers and sleep mode. This was after I got bored just pressing the buttons trying to figure it out.
Great Buy July 7, 2008 Mary A. Minium 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We priced this air conditioner locally and it is selling for $589 -- a difference of $200!! We have a 1700 sq. foot 2 story home and it cools off the entire downstairs with no problem. Fantastic a/c.
