Amazon.com Product Description
The Corona Clipper professional 26-inch bypass lopper features blister-deterring non-slip grips and strong tapered hickory handles. The forged radial-arc bypass alloy steel blades have a 2-1/4-inch cutting capacity, and the lopper also boasts a slant-ground hook with a self-cleaning sap groove for consistent smooth cutting, all season long. It has a precision-machined, self-aligning pivot bolt that will not loosen with wear and a square-shouldered, right-handed design with a unique all-steel locking nut that adjusts using only one tool. The lopper features forged-in bumper cups with Alcryn ShockStop bumpers that reduce fatigue and replace in seconds for easy maintenance. The bumpers are positioned lower on the tang to avoid interference with buds and small growth, and away from the pivot for extended life. The top-grade hickory handles are tapered for weight reduction and bolted on for solid attachment and easy replacement. The comfortable, non-slip grips ensure durability and safety, and the ergonomic design fits perfectly in your palm to minimize hand fatigue. The lopper comes with a manufacture's limited lifetime warranty.

Amazon.com Review
Corona's professional bypass lopper seems to be the Cadillac of loppers. A comfortable 26 inches long, the lopper has blister-deterring nonslip grips and tapered hickory handles. The forged Radial Arc bypass blade has a 2-1/4-inch-diameter cutting capacity. The lopper also boasts a slant-ground hook with a self-cleaning sap groove for consistently smooth cutting. We have to admit, however, that we're really wowed by the neoprene ShockStop shock bumpers. Side by side with other bumpers we've tested, the ShockStop bumpers prove to be distinctly superior in effectiveness and durability. This is the medium-size version of the professional bypass lopper; it is also available in 30- and 20-inch models. --Ariel Meadow Stallings

5 out of 5 stars Are you clearing old growth forests?   June 18, 2004

If so, don't use these. If you are doing light pruning around the house... the I've got a yard and plants and trees and maybe some fruit trees, these are great. Do you need longer handles... I guess that's subective. I'm of the opinion that if you are trying to cut anything bigger than 1 1/2 inch you really ought to use a nice sharp pruning saw. Of course it depends on what you are pruning. These are a little expensive but easy to use, sharp, can be resharpened, and have easy to replace handles. Although I think you'll have a hard time breaking these accidently. If you like quality tools, this is something worth looking at.

2 out of 5 stars over priced   June 11, 2002

This item is way overpriced! It's ok as a pruner, but much undersized as a "lopper."

We'll be adding even more exciting features to assist you in the coming year.
