Works for us August 16, 2007 James H. Byrd (Sandpoint, ID USA) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
We have been using BioBags for about two years now and have been very satisfied with their performance. We use them to line a small covered waste pail, which we call a "cootie bin." We close the bag and empty the pail about once a week, throwing the bag into our compost pile. The bags break down very nicely and fairly quickly. The one thing we have to look out for is that the bags can start to break down in the pail if too much moisture makes it in with the waste and the temperature in the house is warm. I can tell you that's not a mess you clean up more than once. As long as we don't leave the bag in the pail too long, things are fine.
only 12 bags March 2, 2008 Brynn Gibbons 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
I use BioBag dog bags and love them, so I tried the kitchen bags also. The dog bags are sturdy and don't tear at all, but the kitchen bags seem to be made from something else. They don't fit in an average kitchen garbage bin and they also tear extremely easily. If you are using them strictly as compost bags and only putting scraps in them I'm sure they'd do fine, but they shouldn't be used for an average kitchen garbage bag. Also, it only contains 12 bags. Add the price of shipping and this becomes very expensive for a bag only to be used in a compost pile.
Good for weekly use September 4, 2007 Carolyn Nilsson (Seattle WA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I was a bit worried that the bag wouldn't last enough to make it to the outgoing garbage, but no worries. It's not quite so strong as the plastic ones, so put anything with sharp corners in the middle.

I feel very good about the fact that I have plastic bags that can be thrown in the compost bin and not the garbage. Compost rules!

I have been using BioBags for the last 2 years or so. The bags are very strong and depedable and best of all I don't feel like everytime I take my trash out I am adding to the plastic polution of our landfills. Try them...they are great!
