5 out of 5 stars Good product line   February 1, 2006

I've been using varations on this manufacturer's products for years. It's been my experience that it's a good substitute for a Rimadyl Rx until my dogs inevitably get so bad that I have to use both the Synovi product and a half dose of Rimadyl, - eventually going to a full dose of Rimadyl. I average about 2 years on this product before I have to start including Rimadyl. Were it not for this product, I had a greyhound that I would have had to put to sleep at 9 years old because he could barely stand up without screaming in pain. With Synovi and Rimadyl, he lasted until 13.5 years old before I had to put him to finally sleep. He appeared to be comfortable right up until the end when all the joints in his back leg fused and he simply could no longer lift himself up.
My veterinarian says it takes a couple of weeks to see the results of using this product, but I have seen dramatic results in just a few days.
You can generally get this product a lot cheaper thru Amazon. The vets generally carry this stuff, but have a much larger mark up.

5 out of 5 stars Dramatic improvement in 6 weeks   January 11, 2007

We have a mini-dachsund who had back surgery in May '06. He recovered farily well but always had a bit of a "wobble". Six weeks ago he became very inactive, lost his loving personality and looked to be in a lot of pain. Our vet said recurrence is not unusual and that limiting activity along with Synovi G3 was the best we could do without considering more surgery. His improvement since then is wonderful. He is back to his old self, interacting with his sister and our family and his licker has regained it's sneaky attacks. We still limit his activity, (no more charging the back fence to yap at intruders), but I feel the Synovi has played the greater part in his recovery. Highly recommended and about 40% less than the vet when purchased on line.

5 out of 5 stars Vet recommended, dogs approve   June 11, 2007

Most glucosamine products pale in comparison. This is the one product that my veterinarian recommends, and it showed a marked difference for my elderly dog. (We've tried several other glucosamine products, but this is the only one that has actually shown improvement in my dog's ease of walking.) Apparently the taste is good, too, as my dog happily gobbles these up as if it were a treat.

My dog loves these! He has hip problems and they help keep him more comfortable than any other item we have tried. Cheaper to buy on line and have shipped than getting from the vet.

4 out of 5 stars Old dog new treats   July 15, 2006

Vet recommended these soft chews at almost twice the price. Found them at Amazon, just hope they are the same thing, sure seems that they are. Dog likes them. Hard to tell if they are doing any good but they just may be keeping the joints going. Seems like I notice a change when first started. Now am on maintaince amount. Expensive treats that if they are helping are worth it. The 11 year old lab gives them 4 stars.
