A woman that is passionate about animals writes this review. We have three 4-year-old Turkish Angora cats that share our home. The cats believe themselves to be human and like to go where their human parents go. Being an overly obsessive cat parent I did not want their little feet on the pavement and purchased this sling.
The cats love this thing! They jump inside the pouch and like to poke their heads out and watch where we are going. The pouch is deep enough that they can pull themselves completely into the pouch and take a nap when tired and still feel safe in their little "nest". The top of the pouch has elastic around it that allows it to close up a little around the animal. Because cats like small places this is perfect for a feline. There are two clips inside the pouch that I attach to their harness and leash to make certain that they don't accidentally get loose.
The material feels like a heavy canvass on the outside and nylon on the inside. The nylon interior means that cat fur is easy to remove. The strap has a small (2" by 3") pocket on the outside that is the perfect size for a key and a few dollars. The shoulder strap is also adjustable.
This bag is very roomy. There is enough room for all three of my cats on the inside at one time. I know this because they all crawled in together to check it out as soon as it came into the house. My cats are reasonably small (5, 7 and 8 pounds) but they did still have a little room to spare.
If you have small or medium size pets that like to go out, or just like to be close to you I highly recommend this product. My cats enjoy using this sling inside and outside the house. We (the cats and I) started using this product inside the house so that they could get used to it. Within 24 hours they were ready for a little trip and they and their human mother felt confident that they were safe.

This sling is well made, but could use much more padding in the shoulder strap. It is rated for pets up to 20 pounds, but I found it a bit cramped for my 15 pound Pug. Maybe good for pets in the sub 12 pound range, but in my opinion, problematic for any over that weight.

I love my sling-go-pet carrier. With it, I can take my dog easily on the bus and into stores which might not otherwise allow a pet. Of course, everyone admires and pats him this way; he's a dachshund and usually people can't bend over that far to give him attention!
He doesn't seem to mind being contained, tho' he gets a bit restless after a long time.

Our nine-month old Chihuahua "Chiquita" loves to get in her Outward Hound Sling-Go-Pet carrier for a ride on our 1993 Goldwing motorcycle. We had the motorcycle converted to a trike a few years ago; my husband "Paul" drives while I "Gretchen" wear the Outward Hound sling to carry Chiquita. I've placed a fluffy blanket inside and she wears a warm jacket and goggles (Doggles) to protect her from the elements. When she gets a little sleepy she snuggles down inside to take a nap; then, before I know it, her head's popped back up and she'd taking in all the sites again. The Outward Hound sling has interior fasteners to attach to her harness and other fasteners so she's safely carried. All dogs seem to enjoy a ride in the car with their head out of a windiw, sniffing away as the world goes by. Well, with the Outward Hound sling Chiquita loves these rides just as much. Thanks Outward Hound for coming up with the Sling-Go-Pet carrier. Gretchen & Paul

I got the sling for my mom and cat...half as a joke. The cat is 8 pounds and seemed to fit well. We put my 20 lb pug mix in the sling just to try it out and it didn't really work all the well. The pug was definitly squished into the sling and felt pretty heavy on one shoulder. The product is well made and if you think your pet would like it I would recomend it but not for animals much larger than 10 or so pounds.
