5 out of 5 stars Pet Carrier   July 4, 2007

Extremely well made. Fit's under airline seats easily. I travel back and forth to Florida and bought 3 others that were "supposed" to be airline friendly and were NOT.
This carrier actually fits. Size medium.

I loved this carrier, easy to carry, nice looking & my doggie loved it to. He slept through a 5-hour flight in this carrier. It is perfect for an airplane ride.

This animal carrier is simply awesome. It is so well made and looks unlike any I have seen before. It is sporty and so cute. I would buy another. I love the orange one!! If you are a traveler and take your furkid along then you need one of these!!

4 out of 5 stars Good for Scared Cats   June 28, 2007

I had cat carriers with the metal grills and my cats used to bite through and hurt their mouths. This carrier is much better as it has not sharp edges. Also it is fairly dark and secluded in the carrier so good for indoor cats that are scared when leaving the house. My two cats love these.

I bought this for my 4 month old kitten that I brought with me when I moved from CA to PA. When I first got it I let my cat play around in it with it unzipped to get used to it. She even took a few naps in it. My cat had never been taken anywhere before, except a 2 minute drive when I bought a harness, so I was a bit worried.

She did great! She made a lot of noise in the car on the way to the airport, but it was easy to rub my hand on the side mesh part to help calm her. At the airport they make you take the cat out and send the carrier through the x-ray machine. So we put the harness on in the car before we went in. It was easy to leave the leash out of the top zipper and I tied it to one of the extra rings for the strap. After going through security a worker commented that it was the first cat she had ever seen that went into the carrier willingly. During the flight I was able to keep my foot near the mesh on the side (which was facing me because it doesn't fit under the seat otherwise) to keep her calm. Luckily there wasn't anyone in the middle seat, but the woman sitting in the aisle seat said that she didn't even know I had a cat with me until we landed and I put the carrier on the seat and let my kitten stick her head out for a moment. That was the best thing I could have heard!

My cat hasn't played in it and hasn't shown an interest in the carrier at all since we arrived, but I'm sure she'll be ok in it on the way to the vet soon. It is a lot less scary and far more discrete than the average hard plastic carrier. I'm not someone who buys expensive toys or designer bags for my pet, so I was hesitant to pay $75, but to get one from Jet Blue would have been $60 anyway. The cushions come out easily and are easy to clean. I loved having the option of using the strap two different ways plus the handles were useful. My cat did scratch at the mesh a little, but with two layers I wasn't worried about her tearing it. Overall I'm very pleased and won't be dreading having to travel with my cat.
