Amazon.com Review Usable with LitterMaid's self-cleaning litter box, these 12 reusable/disposable plastic cat-waste receptacles eliminate most waste odors. They install easily in the ingenious litter box, which automatically rakes litter 10 minutes after a cat enters and then deposits waste in one of the receptacles. Each receptacle is 13 inches long, 4 inches wide, and 3-1/2 inches deep and has a cover that locks onto the base automatically, sealing the receptacle until a cat visits the next time. --Fred Brack

The only game in town October 14, 2004 Lianne S. Greve (Pittsburgh, Pa USA) 20 out of 24 found this review helpful
If you own a littermaid self cleaning litter box you have no choice but to buy these receptacles. I agree they are flimsy and not worth the cost but the company apparently doesn't pay any attention to customer feedback. If I wanted to spend quality time with my cat litter wrapping bags around the box, I would have an $8.00 litterbox and scoop it myself. I agree the manufacturer should be ashamed of this product.
$1 per container? August 6, 2004 K. Crowder (Pasadena, CA USA) 18 out of 21 found this review helpful
A dollar apiece for a small, paper-thin plastic container that probably cost them a fraction of a cent to manufacture... They should be ashamed (all the way to the bank).
You have to think outside of the box. March 1, 2004 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
A lot of people are complaining about throwing these out because they get banged up. I collect plastic bags every time I go to the store then I put a plastic bag in the tray and I just have to empty that. It is very easy and you can make 1 tray last a long time.
Oh come on!!! August 13, 2005 Miss Keech (Chicago, IL) 9 out of 13 found this review helpful
Jeez, everyone, yea, they cost a buck each, ok, a buck! but they can be reused, how often do you go to the dollar store and spend a buck on a totally usless piece of something that breaks as soon as you bring it home, hmmm? or you buy a pack of paper plates and they are gone in a couple of weeks?? Well, at least these are serving a purpose, and are reusable....I don't have to scoop anymore, and I have 2 cats, I change it maybe every 3rd day, and it's not a chore, takes less than a minute, less time than scooping and smelling it as it sits there, and speaking of, I do not smell their poop at all till it's changed. so I'm happy and I think it's more than worth it!
I Have Flange Issues May 24, 2004 Robert I. Hedges 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I find that the Littermaid works very well for what it is designed to do. The only truly unpleasant task is changing these waste receptacles. The difficulty I seem to experience is inserting a new receptacle. It is difficult to get the thin retaining lip on the tray itself securely under the plastic flanges attached to the litter box which retain the tray. Once it is in place, it works like a champ, but in a future redesign, I hope that the good folks that design this fine line of electric self-cleaning cat boxes will develop a more secure retaining method that facilitates easier receptacle changeout.
