I gave this to my 50 pound lab mix and it took him about 10 minutes to pull out the end of the rope from the knot and start fraying it. Instructions tell you to discard the toy if it becomes frayed so it made for a very disappointing buy. I would only recommend this for a very light chewer.

This toy lasted about twenty minutes after we gave it to our Borzoi puppy and then became dangerous when all the strands of rope came away from the ball. A waste of money. I would not recommend this to anyone!!!

I bought this toy for my miniature Poodle since she was chewing very quickly through her tennis balls. I made the mistake of buying the medium, but it turned out great, since after she chewed thought her first knot I cut away excess fabric, and it became a smaller toy. Works as a chew toy, a fetch toy and a ball. It's gonna take her a long time to destroy this one.

My dog and my mom's dog go crazy over these balls. They're both heavy chewers, but these balls stand up to it. My dog has had his for almost a year and it still looks great. They're also easier for little dogs to pick up than a lot of other balls.

This is not Cotton; the tag says: "Contents: Polyester Fibers". We try to buy only natural content items for our dog, so this won't do. Also, at 4.5" and 1.5 lbs, it's quite heavy, hard, and large - even for our 70 lb flat-coated retriever. It could even potentially injure your pet if thrown a bit fast and/or in the wrong direction. Otherwise, seems well constructed though.
