Improved sound from subwoofer on hardwood floors November 20, 2008

I received a MFW-15 subwoofer that I had originally placed on a rug on top of hardwood floors. This resulted in a lot of vibration and muffling of the sound. I then tried placing the subwoofer on top of some of the Styrofoam packaging and there was a noticeable improvement.
Then I ordered the Subdude and now there is a much cleaner and purer sound then even with the subwoofer on the Styrofoam. I can get the sound I want without shaking the whole house do to the subwoofer resonating with the hardwood floor. When I turn the gain on the subwoofer up, I can feel the vibration in my body before hearing the house shaking from it. The sound before the Subdude was getting muffled do the resonating with the hardwood floors. The Subdude really does isolate the subwoofer which greatly improved the sound for me.
