Studio Instruments are a big improvement over the stock instruments in Garage Band. They sound very real and have a decent collection of preset patterns for quick song ideas. I wish there were more patterns to work with and the sounds could be changed: for example different types of basses, Rhodes and Wurlizer, different drum sets. For 50 bucks you can't go wrong.
