Yikes!! Where's the "Save" button??!! August 22, 2005 William Steele (San Francisco, CA USA) 53 out of 55 found this review helpful
The centerpiece of WinWay's Resume Deluxe 11.0 (and most top-selling resume software) is its Resume Wizard. However, even in 2005, with an online updated version of 11.0, the software designers at Winway couldn't be bothered to provide a way to save your work in the Wizard and continue it later! And, since Winway also does not let you import old resumes you may have on file--another ridiculous oversight--this HUGE design blunder means that in the very time-consuming process of building a resume from scratch you BETTER finish the entire process in one sitting! There is NO way to save all the data you enter on previous jobs etc., etc. except---and here I quote a tech support guy---by "leaving it on." Meaning: leaving on the Wizard, the application, and your computer!!! Heaven help you if there is a power outtage in the middle of your race to get through the Wizard. Saved resumes created with the Wizard cannot be run through it again, so there is no use pressing the "Next" button over and over to get to the end, finish, and save. This is all too bad, because the interview process used to help you build your resume in the Wizard is well thought out. But if you you lose all your work half way through, like I did, the good intentions of the content writers are cancelled out by the outrageous omissions of the tech/interface designers. Zero stars!---but I'm only allowed to rate it a low of 1. (Individual Software's ResumeMaker Professional costs less, allows you to save in the Wizard, import other files, and access their web-based ResumeMaker product for free. Live and learn...)
A Working Man August 24, 2005 WorkinWilly 15 out of 19 found this review helpful
My Resume was hand crafted using Winway Resume Deluxe 11.0. It could not have been more effective in getting me hired! It helped me produce a professional resume that told all who read it "I mean Business". The Video tutorials were a God-send! They showed me proper speech patterns, professional interaction, how to properly show confidence with out being cocky. (It never occurred to me that such minuscule shortcomings could actually cost you a job even if you are over qualified for.) I truly feel that if not for this software I would still be searching for work.
Lousy if you want to write your own resume September 19, 2006 Adam J. Davidson (Washington, DC) 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
I wanted a program that would handle all the formatting (MS Word is such a pain) and let me do the writing. This is NOT the program for someone like me. This program is designed to write all the words in your resume--it has a data bank of hundreds of jobs and job descriptions for each of these. I suppose if you're totally incapable of writing your own resume, this program would be good. But if you've gone as far as reading reviews on Amazon, you're probably capable of writing your own resume and should avoid this program. Even if you DO want a program to write the resume, this program is way too complicated and kludgey to be good. It's really hard to work with.

The software was easy to use and straight to the point. The professional resume it helped me create got me a good job.
Win Way Resume 11.0 - Not flexible enough August 8, 2007 Christine Meis Shuey (Fort Collins, CO) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was used to Resume Maker from Individual Software and thought that WinWay would be a better program. But it's worse. As already mentioned: It never keeps the data you have already entered. As soon you want to create a different resume you have to start from scratch and re-enter your employment history etc. again. It also doesn't let you import or copy parts of an existing Word resume. You have to retype every little thing. I will definitely return this software!
